posting something a little different than usual cuz for once iām posting something i wrote
this is just a little short vignette relating to a Jeff the Killer rewrite iām working on. i wanted to try my hand at writing a more descriptive story because i mainly dabble in writing dialogue. iām not the best writer so apologies if this is shite but i felt rather proud of it, proud enough to post at least

The crunch of bones and the squelch of flesh permeated the silent forest air. There was no wildlife noises, no chirps of the birds, no pitter patter of fauna on the forest floor. Only the sickening sound of a person being dismembered slowly. The rhythmic sound of a corpse being hacked to bits.
I found myself lost in this melody. My arm goes up, my arm goes down, squelch, crunch. Over and over until the job is done. It was so easy to zone out during this part of the job. So easy to lose myself in the vile metronome.
Even so, I couldnāt ignore the faint tingling in my throat that I felt if I focused too hard. A memory of my past taking the form of the climbing bile that surely would make an even bigger mess if I didnāt stop to take a breath.
I halted my work, lowering my arm to my side and interrupting my melody. I tilted my head up to the trees and inhaled deeply. Unable to close my eyes, I just stared at the stars instead until I felt the acid fade away. The wildlife didnāt dare sing their songs yet, knowing that I was still here and my job was not done. Once I was positive that I wouldnāt vomit, the melody returned. Up, down, squelch, crunch. Music to my ears.
With every chop, blood sprayed across my clothes and my face and the tips of my hair that were already matted and stained a deep velvet red from the blood that dried. Thatās how long Iāve been out here? Long enough for blood to tangle my hair? I lost track of time. I licked my lips every time the blood fell on them, the taste of sweet copper stinging my tongue. Somehow it helped keep the bile down.
Sometimes the blood wasnāt all that painted me. Sometimes when I was too rough with the blade, small bits of flesh and viscera found themselves on my face and the front of my jacket. I felt myself cringe every time the goo landed on my cheeks. It was so warm, so wet, and every time it happened the acid stung again like a warning. Wiping it off left me covered in even more streaks of red.
Hours seemed to pass until I was finally done. I threw the blade aside and looked down to admire my work. The leaves and grass under the flesh was coated in a deep, wet red that shimmered in what little light the moon gave through the trees. The crimson ribbons covered the flesh as well, thick sticky pools of it pouring out of the sections where I cut. My hands were covered in it too, wrapped in the ribbons that proved I did this. I felt the sting crawling back up again as I stared at my hands. I balled my fists up, throwing them back down to my sides and looking up again. The sting of tears forming in my eyes matched the sting of bile that I couldnāt keep down any longer. I quickly turned away from the flesh before emptying my stomach onto the forest floor. I tried my best to keep my hair out of it, but I could never be that lucky. I sat there long after there was nothing left to come out, gagging up nothing but acid.
Once the burn subsided once more and the heaving finally stopped, I wiped my mouth with my sleeve and turned back to the flesh, praying that none of my sickness got on them. Luckily I turned away just in time. It was still the perfect scene of gore I left it as.
āIām doonnnee,ā I called out, my voice a low rasp. I wiped away the last bit of vomit that hadnāt found its way to the floor. āCome get him.ā
Smoke gathered at my feet as I stood up, walking away from the flesh to find the blade I had cast aside earlier.
[You need to learn to keep your lunch down.]
āI donāt wanna hear it from you.ā
A loud hiss resounded from behind me and the stench of burning meat filled my nose, replacing the copper blood and rotten bile. I froze, not daring to turn around and watch him claim my work lest I feel the sting again. I only turned once the hiss silenced and the smell faded.
The evidence of my brutality was gone. All that was left was the mess I had made. The flesh and the blood was gone. I scoffed, placing the blade back into my pocket and turning on my heel. Off to the next job.
I LOVE YOUR STYX LAB AU OUGH... if I may ask what is their living quarters like?? Are they all in their separate rooms (obviously azul would have to be to be kept in a water tank but like yk)? Are they allowed to interact with each other? What do they eat? Do they have any sort of enrichment?? SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS IM SO CURIOUS...
eek sorry it took me so long to get to these questions ! i need to get back in the habit of answering questions as soon as i get them lol
anyways, i might draw little fake mockups of their rooms eventually, but for now i can describe them !
theyāre all in separate rooms in one isolated wing of the STYX facility. the wing is just full of one medical ward and a bunch of empty cells of various sizes (besides the 5 that are occupied of course). none of them know where idia stays.
riddles is blank with just a desk & a chair & the entire room is stacked with paper and empty pens with a little window behind the desk
leonaās just looks like the average room that you would see in a mental hospital (everything proofed so you canāt hurt yourself) except there is no bed. heās chained into a corner but the chains are long enough where he can wander around the room, he just canāt reach the door.
azuls is. obviously. a huge fish tank. its just a big rectangle tank with platforms around the outside of it so people can see inside from anywhere, but he has little nooks he can hide in
jamilās is straight up a small tight dark blank white room. imagine the solitary confinement room from the shawshank redemption. itās big enough to where he can sit and stand and thatās about it
vil also has a normal room, similar to leonaās except he does have a bed, but itās pretty clean since he never gets to use it. he usually just gets passed through the medical rooms.
they arenāt allowed to interact, but azuls cell is placed so where he can hear the other 4 if they scream loud enough
they do eat normally, everyone but riddle and jamil get 3 square meals a day. riddle gets a big meal during his daily hour break, and jamil gets 5 meals at once sometimes that he has to divide up until he gets fed again

How would Jamil feel about Kalim now? I know Kalim would do so much to get Jamil back to normal and give Jamil all the love and attention, but Jamil being deprived of that so long likely wouldn't go over well..
Unfortunately Jamil might dislike Kalim even more because of that at firstš that much attention all at once would be so overwhelming at first
how will the parents/families of the tortured will react when they find out, I feel like Vil's dad, Azul's parents, Jamil's parents, and Leona's brother Falena will be devasted and ready to go nuclear, not sure how Riddle's mom would react, but also Does Idia's parents know what their son is doing? depending on the answer, it'll be horrifying...
Vil Azul Jamil and Leonaās families would indeed go nuclear, *especially* Falena i think. Riddleās m*m would also go nuclear but unfortunately i feel like sheād be more angry at him for allowing himself to be in this situation, but she would also absolutely explode at Styx.
Idiaās parents are just happy their sons applying himself :)
Will Idia ever be actually punished for what he did? Ik you said that if the overblottees get out they would press charges and all that but still, even if they donāt get out there would still be missing persons reports filed and people looking for them, especially people like rook and r!dd/es mĀ§m (sorry had to censor that). In addition even if they donāt all get out, will some of them? Especially those like Azul, riddle and Leona who would eventually be able to recover to a point. And if they get out Iām guessing it will be like in canon with rook and epel busting them but how will they get them out, especially with the states that all the housewardens are in, vil is in constant pain and cannot function, I doubt Jamil can walk more than a few steps without collapsing and Leona and riddle are probably both too out of it to really be able to get out effectively. Even Azul is empaired a lot because he canāt breathe outside water in his merform.
Idiaās fate is a secret right now, but yes people are looking for them. Rook and Epel (and unfortunately riddles m*m) would be looking for them along with a few other people, i imagine more of their friends and family would probably get fed up and go looking for them too eventually.
all iāll say about who makes it out, Azul and Ortho do. everyone else is a secret :3
if they all eventually got out it definitely wouldnāt be easy with how many people are impaired. they could change Azul back and someone could support Riddle, but Vil and Jamil would maybe have to be carried and they have to work around some way to transport Leona without him snapping at someone. theyād have to put Idia out of commission first to get everyone out safely.

I love dark twst us, especially those involving Styx because I find the expansion of these topics really interesting, my friend introduced me to this AU and I love it!
but anyway I have a few questions :3, firstly how is everyone doing mentally, I know that Jamil is the least mentally well out of all of them because of the neglect but how is everyone else? Also can Jamil even stand or function with the lack of food? Also how is everyone coping and if they get out how will the experiments further affect them? Like how could the physical scars affect vils acting career especially concidering the secrecy of Styx and how little the public knows about them? Also things like chronic pain and nerve damage and just him losing some organs. Also will malleusās stalking affect the pacing of his overblot. And as Idia mental state decends will he begin to hurt Azul more?

firstly, about everyone mental states: none of them are doing incredibly well but they all started going downhill at different times. vil actually started losing it the quickest due to the nature of his tests, by the first visit to the medical ward he was already completely done with idias shit. riddle and leona were next, though leona succumbed to the exhaustion quicker due to the fact he was being gassed. jamil fell the hardest despite how long it took for him, the starvation and neglect all hit him at once like a truck, and azuls was the slowest and most drawn out since he got to overhear everyone else losing it while he was being left alone. (if you couldnāt tell azul is going to have some massive survivors guilt by the end of this)
jamilās functioning on the bare minimum, he has just enough food and water to keep him alive and nothing else. if he was made to stand or walk around i think heād crumble into dust /hj
iām keeping the ending a secret for now but as a hypothetical if EVERYONE gets out, azul would fully recover with survivors guilt seeing how the experiment affected his friends and probably be severely hydrophobic & even more self conscious about his merman form, riddle and leona would nearly fully recover with serious trauma related to sleeping, leona would be even more averse to interacting with people and riddle wouldnāt be able to take his usual massive workloads anymore. jamil and vil would never fully recover. jamil might physically recover one day but his mental state couldnāt ever be fixed, and vil would have serious after effects from the surgeries (plus the scars from the stitches would always be there) and be even more insecure and obsessive about his appearance. i donāt think any of them could be housewardens anymore.
if itās any consolation the 5 of them would absolutely try to expose idia and styx and be very vocal about what happened to them
i havenāt decided about the malleus thing yet, iāve been debating having him eventually overblot because of that and if idia would get to take him to styx. it would be interesting and i like to think about what idia could feasibly do to him that he canāt get out of. malleusās fate is simply TBD
i think the closer idia gets to overblotting the more he would try to do to azul. the mental barrier that keeps him from doing more tests on azul could definitely be broken down, but between you and me idk if idia would be able to last that long ;3

I just discovered the Styx Lab Au, damn talk about fate worse than death, I imagine Kalim would actually go nuclear if he found out what Idia did to Jamil (beware the nice one is a trope after all), question Does Idia eventually get his karmic punishment for what he's doing?
oh kalim would be absolutely furious if (when) he found out about whatās happening to jamil. and everyone else for that matter but especially jamil.
and trust me idia does get his karmic punishment eventually & iām also not letting idia get away without kalim avenging his day one because i think kalim deserves a crashout atp
