you had done the spell about two weeks ago. You didn’t think it would work, it was just something that you saw on social media and you wanted to give it a try! A week had gone by, and he started texting you. It was harmless at first, just an “I miss you,” here, and a “how are you,” there. But lately, they’ve been getting more…blunt. “I need you,” “Call me, I need to hear your voice.” Clearly, this spell had worked.
It was a sunday evening, and you were in the kitchen of your apartment, cooking dinner for yourself when there was a knock on your door. Weird, you weren’t expecting anyone. You wiped your hands down on a dish towel and went to open the door.
“What are you doing here?” You asked. He didn’t bother responding, and just invited himself into your space and shutting the door behind him. He grabbed your waist and pulled you against him, burying his face in the crook of your neck. “Been needing you so mad,” he mumbled against your skin.
You hesitated to hug him back. You hadn’t expected the spell to work so effectively. “Satoru, how’d you even get my address?” He pulled back just to look at you those infuriatingly blue eyes, and smiled.
“Don’t worry about that.”
The candles had just burned down, the smoke still lingering the air. You’d done the spell on your tattoo artist, mainly because you wanted to see if it would work, and partly because he was insanely attractive.
You had just begun cleaning up the remaining substances for the spell, when your phone rang. You sighed and walked over to your bed, careful to avoid stepping on the other herbs. Your eyes widened when you saw who was calling. You answered the phone and placed it between your shoulder and ear as you continued cleaning up.
“Hello?” Suguru’s voice was as familiar as ever. You smiled, even though he couldn’t see it. “Hi. What’s going on?” You asked, picking up some remaining herbs off of the floor. You heard him sigh on the other end. “Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you.” You laughed under your breath, mumbling, “Damn, this stuff works fast.” There was a beat of silence, before Suguru spoke again.
“What do you mean?” He asked, pure confusion in his voice. You froze, and shook his head as if he couldn’t see it, placing the herbs in their designated jars. “Nothing, nevermind,” you quickly changed the subject. “Anyway, i’m thinking of getting another tattoo.” You could practically hear him smirk over the phone. “You’re coming to me, right?”
you scoffed, shutting the jars and cleaning up the last remnants of the spell. “Always.”
At first, you didn’t think the spell would work at all. Nanami was too smart for this. He would definitely realize that his thoughts had become more clouded with you than usual. Or so you thought.
At first, you didn’t notice anything dramatic. Nanami isn’t the type to flood your phone or show up at your door after one emotional impulse. Instead, he’d quietly become a constant presence in your life. He’d text to make sure you got home safely. He’d remember that you skipped breakfast and leave a coffee on your desk without mentioning it. If you looked tired, he’d notice before anyone else. He even started taking different routes home just to pass by your apartment.
He’d call you, asking about your day or how work was. He’s ask if you had anything planned, and when you said no, he immediately made a reservation for a table for two at your favorite restaurant.
He’d brought flowers, and always offered his hand or arm. When you asked why he was being so gentlemanly, he simply said: “I want to take care of you.”
You laughed the entire time you were doing the spell. Repeating words that sounded more theatrical than magical. You found some old candles in the back of your closet, and decided why not? It’s not like it’ll work.
A few days passed since you did the spell. Toji started calling and texting. You ignored the first couple, then he got more desperate: “Check your phone.” “Answer me.” “Need to see you.” You felt bad for ignoring the guy, so you decided to answer his call one day. “Yes, toji?” you asked, with a hint of irritation in your voice.
“Are you home?” His voice was so damn gruff, you instinctively straightened up on the couch you were sitting on. You hesitated for a second, then cleared your throat: “Depends. Why are you asking?” He chuckled, and your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “What’s so funny?” you asked. He just sighed, and spoke again: “I can see you through your window. Open the door for me, yeah?”
And that’s how you found out Toji Fushiguro had been stalking you through your window every day since you did the spell.
Choso was just so damn attractive to you. But he could be confusing at times, always giving mixed signals. So, you decided to do the spell and make sure he only thought about you.
A few weeks passed. You’d started convincing yourself the spell was fake, but that quickly changed when you came back from work, and saw a huge bouquet of your favorite flowers on the island. There was a note attached, and you put your bag down, and read it:
i can’t stop thinking about you — C.K.
you smiled to yourself, and put the flowers in a pretty vase. The flowers didn’t stop though. Each with a little note that praised you. They were there the next day, the day after, and every day until you finally invited him over.
He was a sweet guy, bringing your favorite snacks, remembering what songs you liked, the little things. Well, safe to say there weren’t any mixed signals now.
As hiromi’s assistant, you’re constantly around him. He usually overworks himself, and that sometimes causes you to work late hours. The spell was simple enough, you just wanted him to have a distraction from work.
Little did you know that you would be that distraction. It had started off simple, him putting his work off to the side and asking you about your day, or getting you coffee without even thinking twice about it.
Then it became more obvious. He got a lot more touchy, grabbing your hips and guiding you all the time, finding any excuse for his hands to brush yours. He was practically begging for it without words.
One tuesday, you guys were staying in the office late. He was reviewing some papers, and you were finishing up some emails. He sighed, putting the papers down with more force than necessary, and ran his hands over his face.
You glanced over at him and raised an eyebrow. “What?” you asked. He looked at you and reached out, grabbing your wrist and forcing you to stand up and move closer to him. “What are you—” before you could even finish speaking, he grabbed your waist and pulled you down so you were sitting on his lap. He rested his forehead against yours, and you felt his breath on your lips. “Just…shut up and let me do this,” he mumbled.
You didn’t say anything, and just let it happen, hiding a smile. I mean…what did doja cat say?
Yuji literally dared you to do the spell on him. He wanted to see if it would work, and if he would magically fall in love with you. “Do it for shits and giggles,” he said. You scoffed, but you did it anyway.
It was almost immediate. Just two days after doing the spell, yuji had texted you freaking out because you were taking over his thoughts. “I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT YOU.” you laughed at your phone screen, and called him. “So i’m guessing it worked?” you said, propping your phone up against your pillow.
“Hell yeah that shit worked. I feel like I can’t think about anything but you,” he paused. “can I come over?” you hesitated for a second, unsure if he should come over while in this state of mind. “I dunno if that’s a good idea, yuji.” you said, rolling onto your back.
He groaned, and you could hear him begging over the phone. “Pleaseeeee, we don’t have to do anything. I just wanna see you.” You thought about it for a second, then caved. “…fine,” you grumbled. You heard the sound of car keys on the other end. “be there in 10.”
Megumi was…kind. sometimes. Well to be honest, he tolerated you more than others. So…you’d done the spell just to see if that could change. And holy shit, it did.
It started when megumi started talking to you more, little things, like asking if you ate, if you got enough sleep, or offering you snacks that he thought you would like. It got more obvious when he asked you to come over to his apartment, telling you to “not be weird about it.”
You’d got to his apartment, and it was just like you imagined. Minimalist, neutral tones, and he had two dogs, one white and one black (so cute btw). He ordered takeout for you both, and you guys sat on his couch, curled up under a blanket watching some shitty movie.
He kept his arm around you the whole time, his fingers brushing your shoulder every so often. It was like he couldn’t keep his hands off of you. He didn’t say anything, but it was so obvious in the way that he acted, that the spell had worked.
At the end of the night, before you left, his dogs came up and started clinging to your legs. You laughed, and bent down to pet them. He watched the scene with curious eyes, before clearing his throat and asking: “when can I see you again?”
(sorry if your fav wasn’t here, lmk who you want to see next time!)
