update: I’ve embraced hookup culture as a way to connect with gay men as friends, I stopped having expectations for men as well as myself, I don’t have intimacy issues as much as I like being intimate while some people don’t and that’s okay because I’ll still love you for you, humans evolved in small communities where everyone knew each other so having multiple partners was natural.

I learned to stop making assumptions and creating expectations for other people and myself. Monogamy is possible, and technically unnatural, it takes a lot of work from both people to accomplish. Allow yourself to be open to experiences, to be in the moment, and to stop trying to control everything.
