My own eyes I barely recognise

I looked in the mirror after so long too

The sharper my brain gets, the duller my demeanour becomes

All in due time

I won’t be beautiful forever.

But that’s okay

because I don’t need to be beautiful

to love my cats

sing my songs

read my books

and live my life

The childlike glee still lives on with me.
