Missouri's latest anti-abortion legislation is being debated ahead of another statewide vote on abortion set for the November ballot.

“The question of personhood has not been directly addressed by the United States Supreme Court,” state Rep. Darin Chappell, a Rogersville Republican, said when presenting his fetal personhood bill to the House Children and Families Committee earlier this month. “This bill will give them the opportunity to do so.”
