To my great dismay I finally got around to playing Final Fantasy XIII and it was terrible, what a shitty, unfinished, disaster of a game. Clearly the team tried hard and the development difficulties were extremely obvious so I'm not gonna hate on the poor devs that Im sure poured their heart and soul into the game but there is no way the game they shipped is even 10% of the game they envisioned in their heads.

Anyways, I redesigned Lightning so she actually looks like police and not the fashion police. You're welcome.

Similar to my Ranma piece I was inspired to do a similar take on another amazing series, Sailor Moon (Sailor Uranus being one of my favorites cause she kicks ass and is a goddamn fashion icon)

Since I'm on the Chrono Trigger topic, Lucca is the other character I've managed to render from the initial sketch.

The changes are a bit obvious, one is to give my own spin on things and differentiate the fashion from character to character, but also to revisit what the character would look like if you gave me a verbal description. I think the lab cat makes sense, same with the bags under her eyes and a slight "mad scientist who is barely keeping it together" vibes that she has all game long.

Those new to the gathering may not know but Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time and it may in fact be a good example of a perfect game, because everything in that package is executed at a very high level in a consistent fashion, even 20+ years after release.

Anyways, you can scroll down the timeline and find Ive done significant work in reconcepting most of the cast, its my "official side project" and it gets updated every now and again. My Chrono redesign sketch went well and this is the rendered up version, think of it like the official character render in a proposed remake ... in case Square is hiring ;)

From 2020, this is the entirety of my inktober project for that year, Final Fantasy VII Remake! It was a brilliant, BRILLIANT game and a pretty perfect way of adapting and reimagining the first 9 hours of FF VII, good luck with remaking the other 60 hours ;)

Street Fighter VI is cool and all and I’m excited for it, hopefully Laura makes her return at some point! She was my main in V and was a cool character beyond all the boobs bouncing around all over the place
