I was digging through my old magazines and found a new (old) interview with Tobias and this part had me YELLING. Context: he was asked what inspired the band to wear masks on stage.

“I’ve always been a fan of theatre and musicals. I’m captivated by the idea of musicals that make you feel like you enter a world in which you don’t know anything about the people behind the characters. When you watch a movie, you know you’re dealing with, for example, Robert DeNiro. But when you watch Cats, my beloved musical, you don’t see actors as such. You see lovely girls dressed as cats and it’s one of the most erotic experiences in the world - you have all these incredibly sexy kittens right in front of you on the stage and you don’t know who they are. As a 14-year-old, a 24-year-old… hell, even now as a 35-year-old I still dream of getting my hands on one of those kittens and just… you know.
