  Something in the back of his mind was explicitly telling him   not to sass the guy who looked like he could punch a hole   through his chest. Thankfully, his self-preservation instinct   was still pretty helpful. “I wouldn’t call it a whiff,” he started   carefully, “Because it’s more like a pungent sickly odor.
