Fortesa Latifi - dull pieces of truth & Supernatural — Sam Winchester
SAM I guess I don't deal with it. Not really. I mean, I... I pushed it down and, um... the -- the world kept almost ending, so I-I keep pushing it down, and... I don't know. I... I don't really talk about it, not even with Dean. I mean, I-I-I could. You know, he'd -- he'd listen, but... That's not something I really know how to share.
The horror of supernatural is how sam starts the show as a young man angry at how he’s been abused, believing he deserves better, and by the end of the show he’s an old man, centuries old, even though it’s been fifteen years, and he doesn’t get angry anymore, just tired, because he believes he deserves all of the abuse he’s been put through, because he was born “wrong”.
Serious answer? Season 1, episode 5 “Bloody Mary”
Sam + Horror Story
(And then he gives up all of his freedom for … everyone.)
Sam being kidnapped and tortured and maintaining the autonomy he can by refusing to give in or submit to Toni's questioning just for her to ruin his awareness of what's happening in the first place so he'll hallucinate sleeping with her 🙃🙃

Cain should have stuck around longer in the show?
Not only because he and Sam could compete for most glorious hair but also because he was interesting! And it would be narratively interesting!
They wasted him as a mid-season boss battle and tbh I would have killed to see him get the Crowley treatment and turn into a tense frenemy. This show could always use another dilf who has weird and fun sexual tension with Dean, and Sam didn't even get to interact with the guy!
Imagine them calling Cain for lore reasons because he's been alive since forever? Imagine Cas double checking and confirming what Cain has said and Cain being kinda smug about it. Crowley being jealous about Cain (and his connection with Dean and the fact he's the brothers' ancestor because Crowley knows they are weird about blood and that's an in that he simply does not have).
Imagine Lucifer's interactions with Cain
👁️👄👁️
Imagine Cain still being around to meet Amara

Imagine Cain seeing Chuck. And hating him on sight. And the reminder to the audience -- they've fucking met before. When God did nothing to save his brother from Lucifer's influence and Cain ended up cursed for eternity for taking matters into his own hands. How that take got spun, how Cain feels about God-as-writer and the narrative.
Cain had too much narrative potential and that's why they had to kill him off quickly 😔

“I Have Wanted Clarity in Light of My Lack of Light” by Ada Limón
Supernatural (2005) / Breaking Bad (2008)
supernatural lost so much charm, so much character when they suddenly had access to all the knowledge they needed in the bunker, knowledgeable and powerful allies, computers that can scan police data. where's the captivating relatable eccentricity of sam with seven different newspapers and a cold cup of coffee scouring twelve counties for a possible case, a random call from some guy your dad once knew in albuquerque that you never met asking you to drive sixteen hundred miles on a "good hunch", calling the miserly guy with a whiskey dependency and possibly a book in his nightmare of an organizational system to find you info about this monster that was thought extinct and shouldn't exist in the american pnw, dean charging in half-cocked with his full arsenal and a vague reluctant "maybe this will work" and nothing but his amped up hubris, a death wish, some silver bullets and there but by the grace of god to see him through.

WHAT THE FUCK I THOUGHT THIS SHOW COULDNT GET MORE DEVASTATING AND IT JUST GETS WORSE?!?!??! him putting his hands up like this asking dean to stop hitting him oughjgfduhgkhghhghg
