#prev#well yes exactly#but the peacekeeping from Dean came from a distorted sense of family and togetherness whereas late seasons Sam’s comes from the same thing#but in a different way#Sam sees the value in family but so so different from Dean#Dean sees it more like unconditional togetherness in spite of what suffering that causes#Sam sees it as unconditional togetherness in the face of suffering#both got there through grief too#Sam also seemingly feels resigned in it#whereas Dean felt compelled to it#Dean was assigned the role of keeping the family together no matter what and gave up through dissilutionment#Sam took the role from himself and fights through disillusionment#Sam realized family is all you have and tries to make the best of it and Dean well#he kinda sees everything as the worst#and Sam is obviously a supporter of a found family#whereas Dean is blood above all and you are either inherently blood or you earn being treated like blood#but dean is also quicker to renoucje that#he gave up on cas sooner than Sam did with the leviathans#Sam also obviously relates to being different#monstrous#and wanting to give anyone a chance despite that#he is infinitely forgiving#like Sam should be more wary of luck lucifers kid than Dean#for one million reasons#but he never would be#cause he believed in god and angels and salvation and no one saved him#he saved himself#and he won’t see jack lose faith in whatever drives him#and now thays them
