Not when they have the capabilities to stop a speeding car with a flick of the wrist.
That’s pretty rad way to slow down a car, that’s for sure.

alexander-havok-summers:
“That world’s been ripped away a long time ago.” Alex could feel his hands clench around the counter’s sloped edge, fingers undeniably itching to punch this bastard square in the nose. The satisfaction hearing it break, the sound permanently scarred in his memory from his fighting days, called to him to do just that. Fight. Snap. Kill. “I’ve dislocated jaws for less, asshole.” Pushing himself from his position and standing on wobbly legs, Alexander reached out a hand and shoved the guy, “You know what, fuck you. You don’t know jack shit about me or my life and you definitely have no idea why I am the way I am.”
“Right,” Bo said with a huff, his posture relaxed though he could feel the fire in his veins; ready to tap into at a moments notice. He wasn’t going to give the dude a reason to attack him, but Bo was never one to be unprepared; not anymore. “I bet you have, you’re quick to draw,” he pointed out with a shrug; brushing off the shove after having taken the step back, not budging any further. “That’s real smart-- when someone is standing in front of you saying that they don’t judge you, especially after going all ‘fists of fury’ on someone and potentially going off like a firework, you usually shouldn’t bark back. Especially when you can’t even stand straight on your own two feet.”
alexander-havok-summers:
“Oh, we have a realist over here.” Alexander placed his hand on the edge of the bar’s counter and used it for support as he leaned against it. Extinguishing his powers always felt like throwing a bucket of water on a fire. The act left him exhausted and extremely run down. “Butting yourself into someone else’s business gets your ass kicked so unless you want to end up like that guy, keep your nose out of mine.” He didn’t intentionally mean to be the bastard. “Do you, though? I promise that you don’t get it.”
“Better than living in a world of fantasy, man.” Bo watched the man practically keep himself up by the ledge of the bar, a scoffed laugh falling from his lips. “And it looks like we have a tough guy who thinks he can beat down anyone that has an opinion,” he interjected-- he wasn’t afraid to throw shit when it was thrown at him; especially since he could take anything that came his way-- with or without his super-strength. “You ain’t the only mutant on the face of the planet that struggles, man-- that’s shallow thinking, and struggling you are.”
psychicxelizabeth:
That you do, Bo-Bo.
I think your mother’s aim is aided by the size of your head. So darling, what has been happening with you lately?
It is a damn pretty target-- I blame the glorious hair. Little ol’ me? Nothing new other than interjecting myself into people’s business and life like I’ve been there all ‘long. Not nearly as eventful as you were hoping, probs.
psychicxelizabeth:
You’re a smart ass you know? Fine, I can survive without pizza.
Gotta keep you on your toes, Betty Boop.
I’ll share this time. My mama didn’t raise me to eat around people who weren’t-- she’d be after me real quick, and that woman has an arm of steel when it comes to throwing shit at my head.
psychicxelizabeth:
You should just know to get me one, darling.
That just makes me out to assume that you’re wanting to get pizza every time I get one, and I don’t want to assume-- that makes an ass out of you and me, and then I’d have to eat four pizzas, and that’s a little much.
the-lady-freya:
Humans and their figures of speech.
You have confused my concern for melancholy, boy. Sadness is a trifling matter I do not dwell on and it won’t help him.
I call it word-spice. Language would be boring as hell otherwise-- and apparently you’re not from around here if you don’t get that.
I dunno, concern and melancholy have a very thin line, and you looked mighty sad. I’m not going to pretend that I know what the hell you’re talking about, or who, but you having doubts about some kid’s survival isn’t helping him either.
alexander-havok-summers:
“I don’t take innocent lives. Not anymore.” No, the next lives dying at his hands were going to be the wickedly vile Winters’. Alex’s gaze slowly drifted to his hands, releasing a long sigh as the familiar luminescent of his abilities glowed a bright red. “No one asked you, okay? Just…stay out of it.” It took a few deep breaths and counting backwards for the light to dissipate before he made the mistake of going nuclear. “It’s not fucking pretty, I can tell you that much.”
“Dude, no one is innocent.” Bo raised a brow, as the man seemed to calm down-- at least enough not to go Chernobyl on everyone in the enclosed space. It would be interesting to see the dude’s abilities-- he wondered if it was some sort of photon blast, always curious about other mutants. “No one asks, I just like to pop into people’s lives randomly-- no one can control that,” Bo shrugged, “I get it, guy-- I don’t judge.”
the-lady-freya:
We are not related.
Perhaps, there is a possibility I could control it. Help them both.
It’s a figure of speech.
If there was, I think you would have by now-- right? You wouldn’t be all Melancholy Mandy over here if you had the ability to do that.
psychicxelizabeth:
Not even for a pretty face?
Not even your pretty face-- you know the rule. Three pizzas for me, one for you-- you didn’t tell me you wanted one.
the-lady-freya:
I live in a reality where magical answers do not fall from the sky, boy. Have you ever held on to a hope so long that you struggle with the resignation you must release?
You and me both, sister.
Not really-- I tend not to put hope or faith into things I can’t control.
I’m not sharing-- these are all mine.
alexander-havok-summers:
“It wouldn’t be the first time.” Alex slammed the man into a wall before finally releasing him. At least he was smart to take off running. “Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do?”
“Doesn’t mean there has to be another person to add to the list,” Bo muttered out before shrugging nonchalantly and waving towards the guy, “just a regular person that doesn’t enjoy seeing people being beat within an inch of their lives. That, and you’re kinda glowing right now and I don’t want to see the end result.”
alexander-havok-summers:
Alright, you want to say that to my face again, asshole, or do I need to break your fucking hand?
I think you’re gonna want to calm down, bud, before you end up killing the poor guy.
erikxthexred:
I suppose the children are out having their fun playing.
Hopefully not in the streets-- that’s dangerous.
the-lady-freya:
Even I must cast my doubts upon the boy’s survival.
Are you stating that because you want someone to give you some magical answer or just to feel bad about yourself?
