Being in The Long Walk book/movie fandom on Tumblr is so funny, there's like 20 of us and every time one of us posts one of the other 20 is like "hell yeah" and we all clap for each other

Garraty talking to McVries about what they'll do if they win and McVries is talking and Garraty is skeptical looking at him like... Altruism? Yeah right ... and throws him the baseball just to test that he'll throw it back and Pete doesn't hesitate! That's the real turning point for Gavries in the movie, that's the Moment Garraty starts to believe in him.

Collie going through the walk dancing and singing and rousing the other boys into singing with him and they join him but then when he incites violence charging their oppressors no one joins him..? ha h-ha..heh .. the fuck!?

the passage in the book where McVries realises what Collie was doing (TOO LATE) and is fully cognisant to the fact that they missed their opportunity is brutal but the scene in the film where everyone else just keeps walking is somehow so much WORSE
