To My Followers: I am still here
Hi everyone, well, those who still use this platform. I am writing to let you know that I am still here.
As most of you are aware, I lost my grandfather 2 years ago and my grandmother 8 months later. I even lost my Meda-Moo, the day before my birthday last year, when I had to put her to sleep. Their losses at the time really killed my inspiration to do much writing or art in earnest. I still wrote, maybe a sentence here, a paragraph there.
However, as of late (mainly due to the Guyver Midnight Project), my desire to work on my writing has really started to come back. Although it is Guyver-related and most of you (if not all of you) may be unfamiliar with Guyver, having read my other works (mainly dealing with Voltron), I would like to give you a preview of what I am currently working on.
REFLECTIONS:
Reflections is one I started recently (as of this year), and was inspired by love_loulou's "I think of You", but I wanted to take a different direction. I wanted to address the issue of loss and memories.
I wanted the woman who lost her Guyver husband in a planetary explosion (140 years ago in the story) to confront the emotions she is having and memories she is reliving when looking at his petrified remains and damaged Control Medal, when she was told his remains would never be found.
A MOTHER'S FURY
When I started this one, I wanted to explore turning Victoria to the dark side, so to speak. She was a grieving widow, her youngest daughter went missing, and when it was learned that her daughter was a captive and her mate's remains were recovered from an enemy's homeworld, what would she do? This is one I had started before I got the news about my grandfather.
A SILVER LINING: (not much of a title, but I haven't decided one yet)
This is the sequel to my story "The Call to Power and Vengeance." This is another one like "A Mother's Fury," I stopped working on because I lost the inspiration.
REUNIONS Shorts:
The next 3 are works I was working on for my Guyver-Wars Next Generation line.
I have no idea where I was going with Reunions, except that the timeline in the stories is set in the 2160s, a fragile peace exists between the human race and the Advents/Creators/Ouranus (yes, that's what they are sometimes called) and the Central Federation they (the Advents) are a part of could be broken at any moment.
Anyway, I have been working on some piecemeal projects during my breaks at work or when I travel, and others I have been working on diligently. I'm looking forward to posting them when I have worked on them enough.
