Pawzoids (to clarify, I have nothing wrong with the concept. Buuut the idea of it being anti-funlink and anti-otherpaw reminds me of when xenies would accuse xenogenders of being harmful and transphobic back in 2022, I watched it happen myself. And well... I don't fw it...- I'll take it off the list eventually! once it improves as a concept anyway... Xenoids as a concept improved, so i'm hoping pawzoids improve, too. But for now, this is a "hell no" situation for me. The concept of it being anti funlink is bullshit.

"What is a xenoid?.."

Xenoids (Short for Xeno-Identities) is a concept based on identities on things you love or connect to or whatever it might be. When you love or connect to those things, you basically latch it onto your identity for fun, comfort, or for any reason. Or sometimes, maybe it just feels as if it's a part of your identity. It's not related to gender.

For shorter: it's a label used to describe parts and aspects of an individual's core personality, interests, or traits using specific concepts or things entirely separate from their gender. But somewhat apart of them which makes that their identity in some way.

Yes, I'm well aware that the term xenoid was full of antifreak-xengens during 2021-2022 (through about other years that passed). and I'm pretty sure the term xenoid was used as a protest against xenogenders. But for me, I just used it because personally I considered my interests as identity rather than gender. They don't feel alterhuman either, I can't explain how it is somewhat an identity. I find pride in most of my hobbies and interests. Alot of my reasons are just not related to my roles. I feel like I somewhat reclaim the term and definition, but I CAN'T say for sure. But for now I prefer the term xenoid. Even if I may not be anti xengen (so you don't need to worry)

Personally, I don't fw them. I feel like they use this excuse often to be hateful even though it's not a valid reason,

I get microlabels can be too much FOR YOU /not at you, but that's why you have the option to ignore those labels and focus on labels you understand, if you guys wanna use old terms or simple terms because "all these new terms are so confusing its just too much" then do it. Nobodies forcing microlabels on you, you have a choice on whether youll label yourself with newer complex terms, older classic simple terms, or no labels at all. if you don't need new terms, then thats a YOU problem, the person who made that microlabel is not at fault for "making new labels", because the person using the microlabel is doing it for themself. Would you rather have someone fit themself in a box that they feel happy in or would you rather someone forcefully shove themself and you down a box? That's my question.

Otherwise I think the idea that "microlabels are too much" is kinda just bullshit. Sure they can be too much but guess what, you can ignore it and focus on yourself, it's just not that hard.

Question? But what do you define comshipping as?

Comshipping is short for "complicated/complex ships," I know alot of people use horrible examples but let's use a healthier or sillier example, "introvert x extrovert" IS a complicated ship, "Cat x dog" (metaphorical/hyperbole dynamic that describes a characters personality) IS a complicated ship, "oil x water" IS a complicated ship if it was a ship. That's what makes it a (com)ship. I'm pretty sure it says and tells you in the name what it is, but the term is just shortened to "com."

And listen, although I am fully aware that there are bad parts to comshipping, like age gaps and other taboo stuff, but that's ALSO why the pairings fall and lean more towards darkshipping, which just makes it a darkship even if it's also just a bad side to comshipping.

So, although some ship dynamics can mix, that doesn't mean they are the same.

it doesn't mean that EVERY comship is a darkship, even if comshipping could have bad sides to it, even if it can mix with a certain dynamic like darkshipping or yumeshipping.

I'll use my yumeship analogy again. There can be some parts to yumeshipping that show dark/illegal tropes (darkshipping), and yet that doesn't make every yumeship a darkship, and it definitely doesn't make the term itself a darkship

I'm not trying to deny that people use those terms as an excuse to be a darkshipper, and I'm not trying to deny that some comships can be bad (which again still falls under darkshipping mostly). That's more logical to get at, and I'm not trying to say that "comships can't be bad!!". It's just when people claim that the whole meaning of comshipping is problematic without looking into it a bit more, now I'm assuming you came from the reblog I just gave to someone so I'll add on more, I just didn't like the way they worded the post at the start as it just seems to me that they think every comship is a problematic thing, when there can be healthy comships, too. So when they kinda claim that "Comshipping is just an excuse to hide being a darkshipper" instead of "Some people USE comshipping to hide being a darkshipper", I think you can get the idea of why it usually just seems like they think comshipping is ALWAYS bad. That's just my only problem with the post, and just in general. ("In general" because lot of people do this, it's not just them, although I don't blame them for thinking that way i can kinda understand where they're also coming from, I just think we need to educate them about comshipping a little more before they get it to their head that comshipping is always bad)

why?

many of these websites may have outdated sources in them or just things about did/osdd/etc which are false. and this misinformation may be harmful to you when researching more.

sites that i recommend when researching about cdds are .org, .edu or .gov sites. as for individual sites, i recommend the mayo clinic, ICD-11, DSM5 and Cleveland clinic. there are more sites that i want to list but im too tired.

The terms darkshipper and comshipper are literally just proshippers trying to hide behind other terms.

Proshippers like to go behind terms like darkship and comship and when it doesn't work they just change the definition of proship to mean something that sounds less "I draw cp and incest" and more "this is a bit taboo, teehee".

So children with unlimited access to the internet are being groomed by either adults or other children who have also been groomed into drawing or romanticizing (or some other word that makes me seem smart) incest, rape, cp.

Also when I had friends who were proshippers who identified as comshippers they told me comshipping is "just big age differences" and worded it like it was 1000 year olds with 20 year olds, but they meant either literal babies dating adults or 1000 year olds who look like a baby that are dating adults. I have nothing against legal adults dating older people (or in this case, aliens/gods) because Rose Quartz and Greg from Steven Universe exist, but when it's a child or someone who looks like a child dating someone who looks like an adult, that's crossing a line.

Idk, sorry for the rant. I'd be happy to hear your guys opinions if you wanna.

I'm sorry, but I need to correct you on this, comshipping is not a term to hide being a darkshipper. The term comshipping stands for "complicated ships" that can go for ships like introvert x extrovert or moon x flower (since flowers only light in the sun). That would basically be calling those ships a darkship too in this logic.

There are many complicated ships that are harmless. Please just use the word darkship, toxicship, "the age gap trope", or other terms that actually hide behind darkshipping. Not comshipping. There are plenty of healthy comships too, and even though you might see toxic comships that fall under proshipping, just know you could apply this logic to yumeshipping too, there are also toxic yumeships, and yet that doesnt make the term and concept itself fall under darkshipping.

There are comships that fall under lightshipping (lightshipping is the opposite of darkshipping. They are healthy dynamics), I suggest you target those who USE these terms as an excuse to be a darkshipper. Not that the terms ARE an excuse to be a darkshipper. Or like I said, target actual words that do hide behind darkshipping please!! /nm
