Chobi's characteristics:

She's very objective (dont waste time on things that won't add anything to her life), ambitious, highly intelligent and has great intuition. Her interests included studying psychology, ninja world and the experiments her grandpa already did. Chobi also loves cooking more natural foods (she really hates processed foods, especially potato chips 🤭).

Relationships with relatives (some):

Grandpa Orochi: She loves spending time with Grandpa Orochi, a lot!! (the person she admire the most.. yeah 👀) He's like a Google to her >< ... she'll ask him anything and write it down 📝

Grandma Karui: Chobi prefer the food prepared by her Grandma Karui, and together they love tease Chocho about the food she prepared at home 😆 (so Karui give her baby granddaughter a obento every time she comes to visit).

Mama Chocho: Her patience with Mama Chocho is like 10%... >< (she's too extroverted for Chobi) but despite that, she does whats possible to please her mama ^^ also spending time together training and tease papa Mit (🤭) are the best things Chobi loves to do with mama Cho 💞

Papa Mitsuki: She also doesn't have much patience with Papa Mit, finds him too confusing >< (he act like a philosopher sometimes with her... and she feel a little annoyed). Like: " - Papa please... can you be more directly??? I don't need another metaphorical speech right now yk... 😑"

And Choji... well... he's dead (in my fic please..) but Chobi visits her Grandpa Choji's grave every week and leaves packets of potato chips there - if a new flavor comes out, she runs to tell him and always apologizes for not liking it 🥺🤍

Thinking (almost constantly ;-;) about the possibility of a Boruto ending with the formation of canon couples...

(and no, I don't want any more continuations - at most a novel for the new families would be enough - just peace and love ✨️💕🙆🏽‍♀️).

Anyways... so if MitsuCho becomes canon, do u guys think they could have children?? (of course, if it's just them two with kittens or even adopting an orphan child, I'd already find it wonderful ♡)

Asking because I researched Mitsuki's constitution... I already knew he's a synthetic human, but what I didn't remember is that he's a Orochi partial CLONE (???) and also possesses Hashirama's cells... humm

* Orochi is fundamentally human (his biology), of course he has alterations that make him almost immortal... but he has the genetic basis of a human being.

And knowing that clones (perfect ones probably don't exist) can MAYBE reproduce in a natural human way... so if Mit is PARTIALLY a clone... could it be a chance for a biological child??

I feel so stupid now... but I'm really curious 😭🫠 I want a MitsuCho baby 🥲

(Sucks.. bc we don't have any development in the manga yet... yeah.. im anxious af ;-;)

Hmm, as seeing the current state of shonen jump manga endings, yep there is a big chance that maybe it ends with official couples. It would be strange tho, as how hard they have been going for other ships. Maybe it can be an ending where it's implied, but not as Naruto with marriages and such.

THO I wouldn't be surprised there's another series like Boruto in a future(maybe Naruto's grandson or a distant, distant relative after many years etc...) Maybe this is why they have such open endings, as if they might revisit them later when they need them.

As for children, yeah! I believe Mitsucho would be amazing parents :A: Not perfect by any means, but they will do their absolute best for them.

Now, if canonically Mitsuki and Chouchou would be able to conceive IDK lol I've always been traumatized by the thought of Mitsuki dying but I guess it would be a detail Orochimaru wouldn't ignore? I'm still baffled by now we don't know much about Mitsuki's origin at all. I'm even suspecting Log isn't another clone but Mitsuki from the future/other parallel universe, and that's why we barely see them bonding as brothers(all my brothers HC are going to the drain... orz)

It would be cute if they had a big family XD, but I will be fine with one or just ending up together if that's even possible by now ._.

Going back a bit to my post about MitsuCho being developed after Chocho uses BM...

Another reason that makes me think about this possibility is that the audience will be able to accept them as a possible couple... (we know very well how society views fat people: negatively... and it gets worse if it's a woman - unfortunately, and anime fandom is kind of strange... if you know what I mean...)

I think it's difficult, but what if someone (who reads Boruto manga) has never seen Chocho in her thinner version (BM) and, just like in the anime, she'll start being praised much more for her appearance... seriously, some posts that exalt Chocho's beauty are making her skin less dark or only using images of BM.. sucks... but it's sad reality.

And I also wonder if Mitsucho would already have been established as a future couple (if the ending is similar to Naruto's? Not the same... similar, with new gen canon couples) that's why, MAYBE, they decided to focus on the Chocho arc these aspects: 1° the turbulent ROMANTIC part; 2° using the BM for the FIRST TIME; and 3° MITSUKI being her "savior" to make her (the possibility) as Mitsuki's romantic partner "acceptable" (???) - in the future of course 🌚

He would be (and he is) one of the most beloved characters in the series, not only for being part of the main team, but also for being Orochimaru's son...

So the romantic development between them might only happen after the audience sees Chocho thin ?? (again... it sucks, but that's what it seems like - observing how they made her starting like Mitsuki fr in the anime).

Oh... Most people indeed want her to be thinner. I even remember that contest where you could submit Boruto characters in different clothes, and Ikemoto commented that many people sent drawings of Chouchou but most of them had her drawn thinner.

(And he goes and draws the thin one ofc... To be fair tho, I think Sarada is his fav, so he prob chose this fanart in particular bc it featured her in clothes he liked)

I have lost count of all the times too I've read "she's hotter that way" or "she looks bad showing the belly" To some degree, I can resonate with the second one, not exactly bc she "looks bad," but I just know Ikemoto drew this thinking of her BM, exposing her belly like that would have guarantee 100% these kinds of comments, and it's annoying to see them + all the other annoying "criticism" she receives as "she has too much screentime" or "her feats don't matter, she isn't that strong"(And watch them shut up when she goes BM, just shows most issues peep seem to have with her, boils down in superficiality)

Even said this, I feel mch was popular enough, even when Chouchou is chubby, and that contributes too bc its an unusual kind of ship. Not just bc Chouchou, Mitsuki too(usually his type of chara dies, or if he gets a girl, it's the generic/conventionally attractive one) I cannot think of a ship like mch, and I believe that's cool and out of the very large ordinary. The problem is more about content, while I don't believe mch would be a super popular ship, but it had a decent following from Japan who contributed with art and theories. But the episodes after her arc didn't do much to continue that hype, and in the end the most notorious part of the fandom was the western fandom. I even read japanese peep saying "mch is more popular with westerners" when it all started from their side! I have SUPER old Japanese fan art from the start of the series

Maybe I'm dumb but it makes sense to me Mitsuki's type of girl would be Chouchou bc snakes tend to like larger females lol.

Anyway, I'm always going to tangents lol.

If that's the case they interact again bc of BM, I would like them to have a prior exchange. To me, Mitsuki seems so gloomy and Chouchou is full of good energy. Would it be crazy if she helped him as he helped her when she was having a bad moment? I feel it would round up beautifully :_:

I rewatched the Mitsuki arc (which is incredibly long, oh my god... why so many episodes?? It's a good arc, but it's too long, it's seriously tiring...)

But what I want to comment on is: the production had SEVERAL opportunities to further develop the relationship between Mitsuki and Chocho (like MANY!!!)

Chocho's thoughts on Mitsuki's situation? None... 😑

She and Sarada went together to look for him in the village before leaving for the Land of Earth... what cost to show a conversation between them about Mitsuki??? It's an arc about him... omg..

Chocho seemed not to care about Mitsuki (I'm not criticizing her, but the production, the script...) like, he was someone VERY important to her episodes ago... I don't understand... seriously, I'm so annoyed.

The only thing about them was Mitsuki mentioning Chocho (not once, but twice ♡ it was quick, but was cute).

Yeah... I was watching during his arc. I remember the episode where he talked about Chouchou and everyone in the fandom was super happy and hopeful that something more would happen. There were also some episodes with a bunch of butterfly motifs(Where MItsuki picked the flowers, and when they were in Sekiei's place, he had butterfly drawings) The photo exclusively with team 10 was super cute too :A:

I feel his arc was more focused on his relationship with Boruto, and friendships overall(Mitsuki and Boruto, Boruto and Shikadai, Sarada and Chouchou, Inojin and Akkun, Mitsuki and Sekiei) but I didn't like that not much came out of it in regards of Mitsuki's development.

Chouchou not thinking bout Mitsuki after what happened in their arc was sad, tho idk to what degree it's also SP's own bias. Newer fans may think I'm crazy for saying this, but I'm saying bc it happened in the first series. Extra episodes of Naruto simping for Sakura, episodes where Sasuke was extra mean to her while Naruto was being protective and good. I know this is happening in Boruto too, but I can't say MCH is not part of it, as if it could have been the bias of someone on the team.

I still believe what happened in that arc was important, and that bit on Mitsuki's too. Shows they had some real good influence on each other.

humm... just pass by my mind this ideia... idk.

But the thing is: with InoHima it was pretty random.. (for me at least) since the beginning of TBV they've been being developed (i love this for them of course). My point is: there hasn't been anything that refers from the anime... so.. and ik, the time line is different (anime - manga).

NGL I'm salty we didn't see BM before the timeskip in the manga... It would be crazy bad luck if it didn't happen now. I would love to see a BM and SM collab so bad!!

Not related but this reminds me I read someone complaining bout Mitsuki's SM and how he just spammed it without doing anything new and I feel the same. It's a problem with most characters imo. Chouchou too uses little besides "BIG HANDS" and Mitsuki "SNAKE HANDS" when it's been a 3 years TS ._. welp

Inohima had a basis from, I would say... 1 episode in the anime? One when they interact, and the rest are like hints(Ino thanking Hima for helping Inojin or Himawari thinking of possible jobs, like art and being a florist xD Might be more, but they barely interacted like they did in that one episode). They also had a moment in one novel, but definitely if you are a manga-only reader, you would be ???? Again, I'm not a SP or anime defender, but the anime has done a lot for this series. I'm here hoping what they did for mch wasn't just b8 for whatever reason... you never know.

About SM and other characters' powers... it really doesn't seem so much impact (it's like Naruto's Rasengan - the regular one). And that's going to happen with BM (unfortunately).

So, my point about the parallel with InoHima (given the context I provided) refers to the possibility of them using the same formula from the anime to start exploring MitsuCho (in a more deeper way - And I mean "deeper way" because before the Chocho arc, they already had interactions, but very casual ones. Their interaction in episode 69 was REALLY deep for me - this episode made me ship them (I'm the kind of person who only ships if there's something deep/emotional - I rarely ship just because I find something cute and funny, that's not how it works for me). And all this happened after Chocho used BM.

But when i think about InoHima (and ik they have moments in the anime - much less than MitsuCho) in TBV they are exploring their relationship without resorting to the anime's content (for example: like in the anime, they would only start developing InoHima in the manga the same way: after Inojin lost interest in using art/scroll as a ninja tool, give space to make him and Hima have a closer relationship)

That's my point: MitsuCho will be explored as it was in the a anime (not exactly them on a mission to be bodyguards for random actors) only after Cho uses BM?? (following the anime's order - not about the time line, but the way to start exploring they relationship).

Or will be like InoHima?? In a "random" way. Without needing elements used to bring the characters closer as it was in the anime.

Ahh! I get what you mean. Could be too, as most of these events happened by the time Kodachi was in charge. Kodachi was not only part of the manga team, but also the anime, so it makes sense by the start of the series, he was setting some stuff that he knew it would be relevant. We also knew he and Ikemoto didn't communicate much, though, so maybe the ideas were there, but how the manga commits to them is just different.

There's a chance it's linked to her BM, yes. We don't even know if BM happened in the manga's timeline, and if her friends know she can pull that.

(Supposedly, she can do all of this-tho we haven't seen them in action?)

Also it's weird for me she hasn't seen his SM by now(And God forbid if she reacts. Almost everyone has seen it, and nobody really gets surprised or comments, which is crazy. The kid goes from ^_^ to a literal reptile demon, and nobody wonders wtf)

tbh following Boruto as a series can be very confusing, and it's really weird bc most fans would be delighted by the amount of content out there(manga, anime, novels, manga spinoff(SD)). Still, when this content starts to contradict itself, it's hard to take things for granted.

I decided to make this post based on @hotmonkeelove comment ♡ I appreciate it (I love interacting with MitsuCho stans) It's about Chocho becoming more secretive about her feelings when she truly falls in love...

It's something that could really happen, and what makes me almost certain of it is the way she handed the fries to Mitsuki: they didn't show her face, she didn't say anything to him, she just handed the fries to Mitsuki and left him as quickly as possible..

(And i'm not saying she immediately fell in love with him - unfortunately)

Back to Mit..

Thats poetic: A random boy she thought was strange, made analogies with things she truly love, questioned her and made her reflect.

It wasn't just someone pointing out that she was acting strange. This was intriguing and touching for her. It quickly generated new feelings towards Mitsuki (not love, but the feeling that he's a nice guy, all this because of his attitude with the little details about her ♡).

Now we just have to wait for him to make a move in the manga towards her... will he?? Ikemoto please ;-;

Another idea I had (but it probably won't happen, the same as when I theorized about the team formation for the Sand Arc)... but look:

Imagine, for a short period of time Chocho would be part of Team 7 and Team 10 would continue with Himawari along with the boys (Ino-Shika). Would be a way to develop both ships: InoHima and of course, my all-time favorite -> MitsuCho (need the most ;-;).

Just a silly theory... as I said before, there's a good chance it won't happen. If I ever get it right, I'll play in the lottery 🫠

Observing from Chocho's perspective (who suffered the effects of omnipotence): One thing I find funny: Chocho knows that Sarada has feelings for Kawaki (who is now Boruto), even though before she (Sarada) didn't like him and Chocho had a crush on him.

She only accepts that Sarada likes him now, without creating any rivalry or anything. And we know that she never felt anything for Boruto anyway (who is now Kawaki).

I think its bc what Chouchou had for Kawaki(and pretty much all boys she's been fawning over so far) was a crush. If she was really in love, she wouldn't be changing crushes as soon as a new hot guy showed up, and maybe then she would have something similar to what Sumire and Sarada have going on(IMO?) Or maybe she just let it go and tries to act strong as its not a big deal :____:

I still think she is the kind of girl who is into the idea of being in love and such, but hasn't really experienced a deeper feeling yet. This comes from all the times she crushed into a guy was bc superficial trails(he's hot, he's famous, he is strong etc...) even going as far as comparing them to meat as if they were a thing xD I don't really dislike this trait as I think she's just being honest and a child, but it's definitely a weird way to look into a possible significant other. This is a little different from Mitsuki, despite being good-looking in canon(and I bring "canon," bc in fiction you don't know if this is true in their universe unless it's brought up by the characters) it's not good for her. Again, judging boys by their looks, but by the end of her arc she starts to see him with another light. That makes me think about mch's theme, seeing the true self of the other. Mitsuki sees Chouchou's true self, but Chouchou doesn't yet imo

Man, they really are opposites in every sense...
