“Macus. Psst, Macus wake up honey.” Nora said giving the hybrid a gentle shake as he slept in his seat. The couple had been working for a good few months and had taken some time off to go on a nice little vacation together to the Citadel. It would be Nora’s first time there so after hiring a reliable nanny to look after their rambunctious kiddos the duo were off to the massive space station to see the sights since it’s massive overhaul.
The quarian was very excited to finally see the station that she had heard so many stories and battles about she was practically bouncing. “Come in honey the ships about to land!” She said giggling. The two were to meet up with Lisaki, xerxes’ aunt for a tour and also a place to stay while they were visiting.
@talixzorah
Nora looked over as Mac told her to wait and she listened to him as he told her there’d be foot traffic of everyone wanting to leave. Nodding her head she gave the hybrid a playful pout and leaned against a nearby wall with a little giggle “You’re probably right. Heh I’m just excited to be here finally!” She said doing a little wiggle.
“Sometimes I wonder how old you really are,” Mac slowly finished what was in his cup and take it to the sink before started to pick up his hand luggage: “ What was that park Aunty Shepard told me about? Aaah, Disneyland? You looks like a kid who visit those places.”
Nora listened to Macus say that and she turned over to look at him and playfully stuck her tongue out at him “Well nothing wrong with getting excited about something! Hmm I think I heard another way to say it is.. like a kid in a candy store!” She said stepping over to the hybrid “You get all happy and giddy too about things you like.”
Turning on her Omni took a moment the quarian noticed a message she had gotten from Lisaki “Oh! They’re almost at the docking station to get us!”
"I wonder how many kids are with her this time. She's been with Uncle Garrus for a while." Mac grinned and picked up his luggage. They have the diplomacy immunity when crossing the customs. They didn't need to go through the whole process. All they needed to do was going through the De Com scanning chamber.
Nodding her head the quarian gave a cheeky grin and made sure her luggage was all picked up before responding. “Heh well it’s been a few years already and some of her kids are adults! So hah maybe she had some other children to make up for it.” She half joked half was serious. Once making sure she was ready she opened the door from their room and motioned for the hybrid to follow.
“Hehe I think this will be a wonderful trip.” She commented as the headed down the halls to leave the ship.
Garrus
Damn, I start to really love shading my sketches, it feels very stress free. I just got a huge amount of Garrus refs, will doodle the dude later ! I miss him 💙

Honestly, Macus didn't feel like he had been rested much at all. All he remembered was the ship took off and he closed his eyes. Next thing he knew, Nora was nudging him, saying they had reached Citadel. He must have exhausted himself a little too much over the past few months! He made a few grunts before dragged himself to the sitting position. After making a long cat stretch, he peered outside the window.
"It will take another hour. We haven't even docked yet," He explained with a hint of smile on his face: "It seems there is a queue outside, see? Citadel is getting busier these days..... The last time I was here, I was still a wee boy."
As Macus began stirring she stopped nudging him and watched as he stretched like a cat. Letting out a cheerful laugh she had to resist taking a picture of him while he was doing that and leaned against him for a moment as he looked out the viewport. When he mentioned the queue the quarian looked over as well and spotted what he was talking about. Several commercial ships as well as freighters were waiting to get in and land but luckily it was a steady movement.
“Wow…. We rarely see a massive amount like these at the space port on Rannoch. But then again we don’t have a massive station like this… there must me millions if not billions of people here.” She said looking amazed at the structure of the Citadel “Remember anything from last time you were here honey? Even when you were little?”
"Rannoch is big enough. This is a little like what mamm described how the Fortilla went through the mass relay," Mac got up to his feet: "I was very little so I don't remember much. I think it was one of the routine outpatient check-up. I was out prematurely and was in the bubble for a while. Plus me being one of the rare Quarian-Turian hybrid. For a few years they were worrying there might be symptoms."
“That’s right I remember hearing some stories about how your dad went with your moms old crew to save your mom.” Nora replied as her eyes lit up a moment in awe remembering the stories. “You certainly are much older now. And this time you’ll remember here.” She said chuckling warmly. Pushing herself out of her seat as well, she began doing some stretches to get her joints all ready to move around.
"That was an weird era, just after the war. We only just got Rannoch back. A lot of small conflict between everyone," Mac signed, setting up coffee machine to brew with his Ominitiool: "things are a lot better now. Let's hope it will stay this way a little longer. Maybe a few centuries or two."
Nora let out a small laugh as she listened and walked around the small room a little bit to get the blood flowing “There’ll always be some gripes about the little things but that’s life. Though I’m with you on things being much better now. And hopefully it stays longer than a few centuries.” She sighed out “There are places still recovering even after so long.” She casted a look over to Macus and tilted her head a little as she stood by the coffee maker
“Sugar or creamer?” She asked pointing to the options on the small counter.
“Neither. Need full strength today. Dunno how many children of Lisaki’s going to show up and if they are actually taking us to the pub. You know I have low alcohol tolerance and I get drunk easily.” Mac chuckled.
The quarian let out a laugh as she heard why Mac would need his full strength and she nodded pouring him the cup of coffee he needed. Bringing it over she gave him a playful look “Well you know that’s why we usually eat a lot before we drink alcohol anyways.” She said before leaning in to kiss his forehead “But. The prospect of more kids Lisaki probably had is a bit scary. I’m going to get a black coffee too.” She said snickering.
The two talked and joked around as the ship slowly made its way to the dock, waiting in line took just about the same time Macus had mentioned before and soon they were given an announcement that the ship was landing soon. Setting her empty drink down the woman smiled “Finally! Almost there!”

REBLOG TO SUPPORT OC X CANON SHIPPERS
They are valid and deserve more appreciation
Here's a surprise for N7 day that I worked very-very hard on in order to make it in time. Commissioned as always by the wonderful @swaps55 as the latest entry in our ME1 destinations series, it features beachy vibes and crabby crimes on sunny Virmire 🏝♥️ See any familiar quotes? 😁
N7 Day 2022: On the Next Mass Effect -
"Since we last spoke about the next Mass Effect™ game, pre-production development has been proceeding very well. The team, comprised of Mass Effect franchise veterans as well as some amazing new additions to BioWare™, has grown steadily! They’ve been hard at work crafting new characters and locations that you’ll love, as well as revisiting many that you’ll remember.
This year, we wanted you to meet some of the people leading that work, so we’re putting a spotlight on four of the team’s leads for you to get to know a little better. With every game we make, pairing new talent with veteran developers has provided us with fresh perspectives and ideas, not to mention skills and experiences built from across the industry.
One day, when we’re ready, we’ll have more to share on the next Mass Effect, so thank you for being a part of this journey with us. It’s exceptionally exciting for the team and we’d love to continue sharing glimpses of what we’re working on with you in the future.
As our team on the next Mass Effect game celebrates today with you, they wanted to leave you with one final message from the Project Director of the next Mass Effect game, Mike Gamble:
In the nearly 15 years since the release of the first Mass Effect, the biggest reason we still love working on it is the warmth, dedication, and passion of this community. There are some of you who have been with us through everything. We’ve grown together, sacrificed Ashley together, (Editor’s Note: Or Kaidan, Mike! We all make different choices.) faced difficulties together…and laughed until our Faces Were Tired…together! And for those of you who are new to Mass Effect (thanks, Legendary Edition!), welcome! I can promise that many years of fun, adventures, and characters you’ll fall in love with are still ahead.
Regardless of when you joined us, through four games and more expansions, I can say with certainty that we’re in this because of you, and every N7 Day is a wonderful reminder of that. As we look forward, each week is a fun and exciting challenge for the team. We love bringing this universe to life, and although there’s much more we want to share with you, that’ll have to be for another time.
For now, there is something we want you to have a look at. We’ve intercepted some strange footage from one of the monitoring stations in known space. It could be nothing, but…"
