Castiel couldn't help but pause following Dean up the stairs that lead out of the bunker when he heard the hunter tell him if he'd only leave him alone that would be great.

" No Dean I can't do that." the angel quickly responded and took a couple more steps up the stairs to continue following the older Winchester outside to the impala even though he asked him not to." Tell me...?" he asked with a quick pause. "How do you plan on saving Sam and fighting thirty demons at the same time on your own?" the angel asked again.

it wasn't like Castiel didn't believe that Dean could save the younger Winchester and fight the demons at the same time, he just thought fighting thirty demons without any help was a bit much even for such a skilled hunter that Dean is. And knew how the older Winchester could be when his younger brother was in danger.

"They are beautiful aren't they?" Castiel asked as he took his attention off the northern lights and onto Jack who was standing beside him. A couple of days had passed since the two had arrived in Alaska to get some ingredients for a spell that they needed that would help them and the Winchester brothers track down Chuck and thought while they were there he would take the young Nephilim to see the northern lights, At first the angel thought about just getting the ingredients and heading straight back to the bunker because he knew that they shouldn't waste time. After all, Sam and Dean were waiting for their return, but since Jack's birth, he'd only seen some of the horrors in the world and not much of the good and wanted the Nephilim to see some of the beauty that earth has to offer him.

It was late evening as Castiel sat at one of the bunker's table while his attention was focused on a lore book he held in his hands, trying to find information on a hybrid creature that himself and the Winchester brothers had only discovered a few hours ago while they were on a hunt in a small town in Texas, to take down a nest of vampires. As the angel came close to finish reading the book that was in front of him, he came across a monster that resembled the one that was seen with the vampires earlier that day. Closing the book, the angel pushed it to the right side of him to tell the older Winchester that the creature they dealt with was a hybrid between a vampire and a werewolf."You were right." Castiel said with a pause trying to remember all the words the lore book said about the vampire/werewolf hybrid.

" The monster we faced earlier was a mix between a vampire and a werewolf, and it is said normal actions to take down the hybrid like sliver or a wooden stake won't be useful on killing it." he explained." The only way to kill it is to either be-head it or setting it on-" the angel paused his explaining when his ears picked up on Dean asking on what he was right about like he never heard the angel a few minutes ago telling the hunter that he was right suggesting the creature could have been a crossbreed between a vampire and werewolf. "About you being right about the creature we have seen earlier...being a hybrid."

It was a late night as Castiel sat in a small diner a few miles off kanas city, the angel had left the bunker a couple of nights ago when he received a phone call from a small-town sheriff telling him that he has seen someone that matched Lucifer's description walking the streets, knowing he had no time to waste before the fallen angel made another disappearance, Castiel left the bunker soon after then headed to the small town where he hoped the devil was still staying. Once the angel arrived at the location he wasn't long going on the search for Lucifer and after a couple of hours of looking in the spots where the town's sheriff told him where he had seen the devil, Castiel had found Lucifer sitting outside of a small cafe and waited for the best time to try and grab the prince of darkness, sneaking up behind the other, the angel ruffly placed a hand on the other's shoulder and pushed him inside the door of the cafe and took a seat in a booth across from the fallen angel.

But before Castiel could begin telling Lucifer how he found him, he was approached by a waitress telling them that they couldn't stay unless they ordered something. Slowly the angel reached into his trenchcoat's pocket to see if he had any money so he could get a drink for the two, but once Castiel finished counting the change in his hands he realized there was only enough for one, closing his eyes before looking back up at the waitress he guessed the two could share the hot beverage. And once the hot chocolate was placed in front of them, he pushed it towards Lucifer as in asking the prince of darkness if he wanted the first drink.

It was late evening as Castiel sat in the passenger seat of the impala waiting for Dean to return from picking up the pizza that they ordered to take back to the bunker where Sam was waiting for their return after the two had been in Missouri for a few days on a hunt to put a few vengeful spirits to rest, as the ex-angel continued waiting for the older Winchester to return with their dinner, Castiel took a quick look out of the impala's window and couldn't help but to release a quick smile when he noticed Dean was now standing in view at the restaurants front store window, just as the ex-angel took his attention off the restaurant's window his ears picked up on a familiar voice saying from outside of the vehicle that it wasn't decent for him to be looking happy."Crowley..." Castiel said sounding a little caught off guard by the king of hell's sudden appearance, with his eyebrows lowering with a suspicious expression appearing on his face, the ex-angel rolled the car window down to hear why the demon had tracked them down." What business do you have here with us?" he asked once the window was down halfway. Deep down Castiel expected Crowley probably didn't show up for a social call.

Dean had been restless lately. He wasn’t sure if it was because of the constant back to back hunts or just the normal stress that came with this lifestyle but it kept him up a lot more than usual. Most of the time, Dean could run on four hours of sleep, but these days he wasn’t even getting two. This left him exhausted and when you’re at your limit of tiredness that’s when hunting becomes extra dangerous. He knew that he had to do something because it was going to end up being a huge problem otherwise. 

For tonight however he decided to give up on his quest for a good night’s sleep. He gets up and goes into the kitchen to find some food. Dean sees the light on down the hallway into the library but he knew that it was Cas. He could hear Sam snoring still. He walked down towards the library and saw the angel holding a book. 

“Hey..” He says in a still groggy tone. “I couldn’t sleep so I figured I’d make something to eat. Wanna join me?” He asks. “I’m going to make waffles.”

While waiting for one of the Winchester brothers to make an appearence in the libary, Castiel went back to reading the lore book he was holding in his hands, but after a short amount of time passed, his ears picked up on the sound of footsteps coming down the hall and before the angel knew it, he heard the older Winchester brother step inside the room before he had a chance to place the book back on the shelf. Once Castiel placed the book back on the bookcase he turned his attention towards Dean to say hello to him, but the moment the angel laid eyes on the hunter he could tell that the other didn't get any sleep when he went to bed earlier that night, and wondered if he should tell his friend that he might have found them a case.

Deciding that he would wait for a bit before telling the hunter that he had found them a case, Castiel showed Dean a light smile before saying hello back."Hey." the angel responded then listened as the older Winchester told him that he couldn't sleep and decided that he would get up and make something to eat and wanted to know if he would like to join him in the bunker's kitchen while he made waffles. "Alright." Castiel said then began moving away from the bookcase so he could join Dean while he made breakfast.

"It doesn't show any sign of stopping any time soon," Castiel said with a light sigh escaping his lips as he watched the snowfall from Bobby's cabin window, the angel and Dean had come to the cabin earlier that day to see if they could find some ingredients for a spell they needed to do to trap a couple of spirits that was terrorizing a small town. slowly the angel turned his attention away from the blizzard that was blowing outside and onto the hunter who was standing a few feet away from him to tell the other that they might have to stay at the cabin overnight because it looked like the roads was too icy and snowy to try driving back to the bunker." We might have to wait for the storm to stop here tonight and head back in the morning if the weather gets any worse." he explained pushing the curtains back once more so Dean could take a look out the window to get his opinion to see if the other thinks if they should try risk driving back in the storm.

 It was a few days before Christmas as Castiel walked up and down some aisles in a small department store to see if he could find some presents for his friends, as the Angel found a few items he thought that the Winchester brothers and Jack would like to receive on Christmas morning. Just as he was about to head towards the cash register to pay for the gifts he picked up, he took notice of a small makeup kit and wondered if Rowena would like that as a gift, because Castiel remembered that the red-haired witch will be also joining them for the gathering Dean and Sam were hosting at the bunker early this evening. Once Castiel examined the package a little to see what all came with the makeup kit, he picked it off the shelf and walked to the register where the store clerk stood and paid for the items he wanted then went back to his golden lincoln then drove to the men of letters bunker.

 Once Castiel arrived he parked his car outside then took the presents out of the backseat, then closed the backdoor before going inside the building, as he stepped inside the Angel took notice that Rowena and most of their guests has already arrived and once they were settled to start unwrapping gifts, he passed the gifts around he bought for Rowena, Jack and the Winchester brothers, Just as the angel was about to sit down and watch them open their gifts, he took notice that the red-haired witch was passing him a present as well."Thank you Rowena." Castiel spoke with a warm smile appearing on his face then began to slowly and carefully unwrap the present she had given him because he wasn't sure if what the witch had given him was breakable or not and didn't want to break it before getting the wrapping paper off of it.
