speedpaint for after a long day

i started this back in april, but when i approached it again in late august i decided to go for a more summer sunset vibe with the colors

in the end i did a blurring effect in attempt for a dream-like feel. i’m pretty happy with the results!

also, hi! i kinda went on a sudden hiatus because i was having a lot of trouble balancing my job and art/social media. i’d been so tired it was hard to motivate myself. but i managed to pull myself out of my funk and finish that piece that i started back in april

i actually designed both the dog and cat character on a whim in this sketch and decided to do a full drawing with them. i actually had a lot of fun with this and it was the biggest illustration i had done for march.

looking at this now, i wish i had eventually added the potted plant i started sketching to the foreground? it would had added some good depth to this piece. oh well ^^

speed paint for the pokemon starters drawings!

was my first time drawing several of the starters. you can see which ones i struggled with a little more 😅

i ended up basing treecko specifically on the detective pikachu design. i’m glad i did because i like how that one came out best. (i’m also really happy with tepig)

i had to draw the line art twice to give the gif versions that wiggle effect. unfortunately i couldn’t post gif versions with backgrounds because they refused to save with a consistent colors. so they are transparent, which ends up looking a little crunchy depending on how you view tumblr. (and is why i posted the static version later)

i’m really happy with the end results and i’m happy that others liked it too 💖
