I’m thinking about how Noelle’s facade worked so well that we didn’t worry about her. Well we did, but we didn’t think she would actually be willing to go so far of her own volition. Because it wouldn’t seem “Noelle-like.” And she knows that. And she succeeded. Because no one could have guessed she would do that. She did something unpredictable, “uncharacteristic”, and “crazy.” And we could only see the clear signs of her plans looking back, after it’s already too late.

Noelle is one of if not the best suicidal character ever written, coming from someone who has dealt with those thoughts before. I’m really interested in what will happen with her character going forward.

to start, i have undiagnosed dpdr. and it always bothers me so much that people always go straight to "you must be plural!" when someone expresses any symptoms of dissociation. fyi, people who have autism dissociate. not as much as people with dissociative disorders i dont think, but they still do? (dont take my word as fact, im not a professional, but i did get this fact from my therapist so i trust her word.)

second; its so hard to find anything about my disorder, because its all just about DID or any plural dissociative disorders. people associate plural with dissociation, ive seen posts of people talking about how others dont think dpdr is a real disorder because of the fact that people like me arent plural.

it feels like it removes what i go through, what ive been through. and people are gonna call what i struggle every single fucking day "fake" because im not plural? or say that im just in denial?

im angry. and, to me, its rightfully angry. what i go through is real, im not faking anything. and, frankly, it makes the derealization worse to call it "unreal."

Calling dpdr (or general non plural dissociation) “fake” is ableism!

like yeah it's not the BIG thing that this scene has to offer but I feel is if we need to talk about how even in the the normal route even when everything is is going alright Noelle just doesn't feel like herself like she just feels like she's looking Through Glass just walking her own path I thought the implications of Kris having it was big but having Noelle just coming out and saying that Dess' deeply impacted the way she views and interacts with the world is just something else altogether Like, it is VERY important to me that we talk about this more This is a big thing for her character, and nobody is talking about it, even though it hit me like a ton of bricks the first time.
