"The sadness we always felt..."
â°⹠âïž - You leave without telling them... (Reader is Yuu)
Feat. Idia Shroud, Silver Vanrouge, and Jade Leech
AN: I Lowkey needed to lock in and write something, and this was the first thing that came to my mind sooo, yeah! - Lowkey these kinda suck... sorry y'all</3
Loneliness had been nothing new to Idia Shroud, whether it had stemmed from his childhood, his lack of being around the people who had been his family, and even the days that he had spent locked up trying to figure out a way to get his brother back. All had been done alone and only with the âcomfortâ of his own thoughts and whatever they could conjure up. Coming to Night Raven had been no different. After all he only became a housewarden because he didnât want anybody else to take it, they literally knew nothingâŠ
But in the end it didnât matter. He was the housewarden of the recluses basically. It wasnât that he ever saw the people that he was supposedly in charge of, whatever. He didnât really wanna talk to them anyway. For years he thought this would go on, heâd take over his parents company, alone. Have a name for himself, alone. Eventually grow old and die, alone. Well, I guess there was Ortho, but that was his brother, of course he would have stuck around for a vast majority of his life, but what about when he wanted to go on his own and do what he wanted to do? Not be stuck on the Isle of Woe, trapped in an endless cycle of work and experiments. Idia couldnât blame anybody who wouldnât wanna be subjected to that. But through every day he had passed through alone, through every game he had played with the randos online instead of somebody that he could call a friend. Until that random person had stumbled along.
Never in a million years if you told Idia Shroud that one day he would be waking up and realizing that he could text somebody and they would have actually responded within a few minutes, he would have believed you. But yet through the months after your arrival to the unknown world, that had become a reality. His phone had buzzed, sitting next to his bed on the bedside table, still plugged in and charging. That must have been the daily text of you saying âgood morningâ to him that he hadnât entirely gotten used to you. But when he checked his phone, he couldnât have been more wrong. Instead, just a notification from one of his apps was going off. That was weird, you never missed a dayâŠ
As the day continued there had been a few messages, despite him never being the first texter, that had made it to your phone. But through every minute not even a single one was read he started to get worried. Through the day he could tell that that energy was off. The idiots that you had normally hung out with were actually being quiet when he had noticed them walking through the hallway. And that was when he heard it from Deuce.
âThey really leftâŠâ
He turned around, about to try and speak up, asking anything he could about your whereabouts. Maybe they werenât talking about the mirror, but after a rush over to Crowleyâs office and a very flushed out conversation. All he could come to the conclusion of was that you really were gone. Back into a world where not even the highest tech from S.T.Y.X could reach.
Without even being able to say goodbye.
In a nutshell, Silver was almost the perfect boyfriend. The person who would have walked you all the way across campus to get to your next class despite his being on the side that you were already walking from, the person to carry your backpack when you had the slightest bit of discomfort in your walk, even the person to try to stand your ground when you tried to apologize to keep the peace even when you werenât in the wrong. But that wouldnât have been enough, would it have? Despite all his efforts, this wasnât your home. No matter how many times that tack sign that Lilia had always mentioned of âHome is where the heart isâ would ever take place of the actual place that you had resided in. The people you had left back home, whether they were friends, family, or people that you just liked being around. So when the option was given to you, there wasnât a second thought.
The sunlight streaming down from between the leaves of the tree that Silver had fallen asleep on. When finally awaking he looked down at his phone, noticing that it was almost time for you first class to end. Walking over didnât take long from his position in the courtyard only a few meters from where your class had been, but as he watched the others file out of the room, leave just a few stragglers inside either finishing up whatever they were working on, or that one person talking to the teacher⊠But no you⊠weird. It wasnât like you to miss this class, after all it had been your favoriteâŠ
But as the day continued and he thought more about it, there had been nothing but a sadness and a nagging feeling that kept coming up in his mind. What if you had really gone back? Of course on one that, that was amazing! He had been one of the people who only wanted the best for you and if that meant going back to the people you knew and cared about, he would have been the person right behind you and trying to help you get back through that mirror no matter what. But at the same time⊠he loved you, and even if the saying is that you should let the ones you love the most go⊠he wanted to be a little selfish, keep the ones he loved close. But could you really blame him He had almost never had anything to himself, and he wanted nothing but to keep you to himself until he had to let go, and even so he would have been there for the time when you had left. And yet every nap he took after could only have the memories of you floating around, you staying in his arms, even having a future in the dreams. Yet, he would never be able to achieve them past the dreams.
Once upon a dream heâd be with youâŠ
There was nothing scarier for an Octavinelle student than noticing that Jade Leech was upset. It wasnât that he was sad, but they could tell in the way that he had constantly checked his phone, and even had been taking more time on breaks to check places that he knew youâd be. And yet every time, it would have come up with nothing. Never in your class, never in the library in the back section where your favorite books are, never at the club meets, and yet nobody could tell him where you were. For all the blackmailing he had on people, why could he not figure anything out about you? Hour after hour there was only one thing left that he could do. The source of it all, Crowley would know. And if Azul could convince him to open and run the Mostro Lounge, why couldnât he suggest that Crowley tell him about your whereabouts.
The walk over to Crowleyâs office was nothing but silent, it wasnât often that the thoughts had run around the merman's head. Maybe it was worse than he had been expecting and thatâs why nobody would have told him anything. What an irrational thing to be afraid of⊠telling him the truth. It wasnât like he couldnât get it any other way. Yet there he was, a knock on the door was all that was needed before he was allowed in, Crowley sitting at his desk adjacent to where Jade had stood. The slight smirk that had appeared on Jadeâs face was nothing to think twice about, and before long, the headmaster knew he was getting into something with him. And before he could say anything, ask any questions, the answer was given to him. Crowley, trying to save himself from the potential blackmail that he knew very well the Octavinelle students had on him was not getting shared, even in the confines of his own office. But the truth hit him like a truck. You had just left? Didnât say anything to anybody?
The thoughts were only swirling more as the door to the main office had closed behind him. Did you not care for anybody here anymore? And worst of all, did you not believe that he would have missed you? Or at least wanted to say goodbye to a person that he had learned to let inâŠ? However, all the questions had subsided, after all, he wasnât somebody who should have been upset about this. But maybe it was the fact that through it all, through all the ups and downs that you two had gone through, he still felt that you two had been close enough that even a letter regarding your decision to go back home would have been nice. But it was your life, and who was to go around trying to make decisions for you. But yet as he made it back to his room, staring down at the mushroom that the two of you had found on one of your adventures out to the mountains, he couldnât give in to cut it up anymore. Instead, he had placed it into one of the terrariums that you two had built together on a date, yours, the one he had placed it in, was still unfinished from when you had to stop and get Grim, but yet the small mushroom sitting in the middle of it was enough to bring even a small smile to his face, maybe you did leave a little bit of a parting gift, even if it wasnât intentional.
