Okay, I don’t have any cool smart reasons or anything its just fun and headcannons but hear me out-

Feng Yi’s Vimalion Project description describes her as very stoic, she takes her work as an opera singer very seriously, and she has trouble expressing her emotions except when she’s singing. Combine this with Weiward Romance. A party girl with energy and passion for her city <3. So I imagine she’s all business and then a few drinks in she’s all “heyyyyyy did youu know I love you 🥰✨?” And I love her actually.

And then there’s Yi Xi. My beloved <3

She’s impulsive, confident, talkative and charming, but there’s something a little off about her. She looooooves messing with Feng Yi in particular <3. Canonically* too! Here look I have evidence-

*the first one is from Weiward Romance Feng Yi’s concept art, and the second and third are from Rice Deity’s Twitter (i think!). so as “canon” as i can get lol (sorry the second one is cropped weird I couldn’t find the original version T-T)

anyways, Yi Xi has 0 anxiety. Shes hot and she knows it. As charming as she is, people are weary of her; she can turn ice cold on an instant and will maybe threaten your life a little bit lol. Her lively persona is definitely an act, or at least an exaggeration of herself. Everybody knows her, but no one really knows much about her. She definitely has resting bitch face when she thinks no one is looking.

So-

Feng Yi does not know how to deal with having a crush on Yi Xi. Her brain short circuits a bit when she’s around her (and Yi Xi definitely knows this and takes advantage of it lol) so she just answers questions curtly, her face inevitably turns red after a bit (meanwhile her expression reminds flat lol) and she avoids Yi Xi whenever she can.

Meanwhile Yi Xi… is also having a crisis lol. She knows that she throws herself into everything, and needs to remain calm about this or she’ll completely scare Feng Yi off, but OMG HAVE YOU SEEN HER SHES SO CUTE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. cuteness aggression. she wants to eat her. Affectionately <3. She knows the smart thing to do would be to leave her alone, clearly she wants to be, but Yi Xi’s version of restraint means annoying her at every opportunity because she just can’t bring herself to stop. poking. her. <3

anyways, at some point theres some SynthV party, they have a couple drinks, Feng Yi loosens up and Yi Xi chills out, and they get to actually talk!!

maybe they can bond over being off-putting to people, maybe they can talk about their different tastes in music, but say that they admire how good the other is at what they do regardless, maybe they can bicker about good wine idk lol

and then Yi Xi gies “hey you wanna get out of here?” and Feng Yi says “i know a spot or two 😏” and she takes her on a tour of all the cool hole-in-the-wall places in the city, and Yi Xi is all star struck to see this side of her, and Feng Yi is enjoying being the cool fun one for once, and then they kiss under fireworks and lantern lights aND I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
