I’d like a large glass of something really expensive.

"Hmm?" The prince was much too busy to be bothered, his eyes captivated by his reading just in front of him. Old scrolls of poetry that had been written by those in his family before him. he was unsure if he'd ever seen this man before, but as he turned to look at him fully, he was granted calm. He at least looked ... perhaps interesting wasn't the best word?
"What do you want?" The tired prince was normally much more alert-- more polite and able to roll those words off of his tongue. However, he'd been caught off guard. "My father's not here right now."
The Emperor stood stoically, a small scrap of parchment held loosely as he oversaw the warden and his charge. It seemed that no matter what they did, the fire in those eyes refused to go out, much the same as a certain young woman from many years ago. Then again, where would the fun be if he gave in so easily? Raising his hand to interrupt his subordinate, Anshi stepped forward, brandishing the message. "This is your mother's, isn't it? All I want is the name of the messenger, then you're free."
The white-haired devil that stood above him sent a fit of rage into his heart. How long had he been here? Days? Two, three, five, six, seven days? Two four, six, seven days, again? He’d lost track without the tell-tale signs of the rising and setting sun. He’d grown quite thin over the course of time, his skin marred by bruises and scrapes.
"Listen here,” He began, voice hoarse and naught but a scratchy hiss what it once was, “You unequivocally perverted, indecent plebeian; You cannot destroy a wall of fire simply by cracking a hammer against it. I will never betray my friends. Crawl back to your hole and finish the job, you ludicrous, flesh-creeping aberration of nature.”

Historical Zhang Chunhua - Koeified
I played this muse for five years before she came out. Given her hair should be black, not blue, but this was the best I had at the moment for Koei outfit and expression.
The Lady Zhang Chunhua had draped herself across the chaise in the parlor room, the sound of dripping water in the basin nearby nearly enough to drive her completely up the wall. Her fingernails tapped against the sturdy wood of the armrest, back arched to recline along the slender slope of the pine.
Once the door slid open, however, she turned to gaze over her shoulder, the flesh of her skin brushing against the blue satin on her shoulders. It had taken him long enough, yet finally he was home. Heavens knew how hard ti was taking care of a child when your husband was being drug off to god knows where. What with the new Warlord looking into his abilities and she now carrying what would be their first child. While it was no more than a small bump on her abdomen, the young woman— quite young, herself— was no more surprised by his lateness than she was of the ever-irritating dripping that even still persisted.
"Was there an imperial order for your punctuality? Did someone die, or something?” She asked while inspecting her nails, the scent of what the servants had prepared wafting into the halls while Chunhua occupied herself with the silk scroll that folded across her lap. Chunhua was a reciter— she recited things. Her voice was deeper than most women would have, yet still soft and gentle when she wanted it to be. When company was over and the silence was too much to bear, she would take to reading poetry that had been accumulated over the years.

(WHAT A SURPRISE LOOK WHAT CLAN THEY ARE FROM WOOOW MUCH SURPRISE)
Sun Kuang (Sun Quan’s brother) married the daughter of Cao Cao’s younger brother. They had a son, Sun Tai. I'll probably never play them. But. Ugh I love this person so much.
There was no good that could come out of marrying a tiger and a phoenix. Nothing but pain and anguish would await the azure-eyed man. He would grow up to be in the militia, taking great care to tone his skills and become as strong and as clever as they came.
His uncle was known to be a coward, the other having died from being to stubborn and hard-headed. Even his grandfather had been bested by those wishing nothing but ill-will.
But he would be different. Different from all of them.
"Well then… I guess we’ll have an advantage now, won’t we?" Tai chuckled, one hand lifting to press against the softness of his lips. "Now, I’ll be more than just a tiger that’s grown too big for its den. Now… I’ll be a tiger with wings.”

For time at last sets all things even -- And if we do but watch the hour, There never yet was human power Which could evade, if unforgiven, The patient search and vigil long Of him who treasure up a wrong.
-- Bryon.
HAD I the heavens’ embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
--W.B. Yeats
Man's Inhumanity to Man
Many and sharp the numerous ills Interwoven with our frame, More pointed still, we make ourselves Regret, remorse and shame -- And man, whose heaven-erected face The smiles of love adorn, Man's inhumanity to man Makes countless thousands mourn.
-- Robert Burns

Her peaceful stroll was with silence, no one had bothered the lady princess in recent days. Her option to pause at the doorstep was just to kneel to the stray kitten that would be bathing in the sun’s light. A content play danced upon her precious, crimson tipped lips.
"Good morning, Great Aunt Luban."
Someone would come and speak with the lady? What a pleasant surprise, as the kitten would mewl and rub around her own hand. The stormy, sea green hues looked over her vermillion draped shoulders upon the one that would speak such words to the princess herself.
"Ah, hello there, my dear nephew."
This was that woman-- the one that he'd heard talk of the court wanting to exile for her crimes against the ministry. Wasn't it? Sun Jun had already been taken care of by health itself, his coffin destroyed by Sun Xiu in his infinite rage. The Emperor Sun Xiu was furious, and here now Sun Jin was left to understand that even he had fallen ill.
"...What are you doing here? This is our home. My father is not at home and my mother..."
Right. He hardened immediately, his eyes just barely thinning themselves out toward the ebonette. "I don't know where she is, either."
"It would be nice if something did. Then again, it depends on whether it would be a bad or a good thing…” She trailed off, averting her eyes in the slightest, sensing the coldness in his glare.
"You know what you could do," Jin paused his speech, resting against his hand to stare at the girl with gold, emerald eyes, "You could return to me the throne of Eastern Wu,"
Those eyes held fire. The fires that had long-since been extinguished in the newly founded Jin-Dynasty. His father had been exiled and his mother-- he knew not where she was. His brothers were all part of the Jin military now and he-- he who should have been emperor-- now seated himself across from this daughter of Sima Shi.
If one looked hard enough into the reflecting glass of his eyes, they could see the crackling embers swirling about in suck blackened and charred pupils. They would see the pigeon-winged parchment flapping about in the fires of the national archives, burning away constantly with the knowledge of his family's surrender in Sun Jin's mind.
The air was stagnant, his tone had been completely serious. His glare had hardened, and he waited patiently for an answer.
"...."
"Hahahahaha,"
Jin's laughter filled the room, his head tilting itself back up with one of his usual smiles. His eyes, however, remained as cold and guarded as ever. Unfriendly toward those who had destroyed everything they'd been. Unfriendly toward those who would watch their world burn.
"Only joking, of course, my Lady."
