There is no warning. No precursor. Nothing.
Just a finger tip to someone’s nose, and a devilish grin.
3 seconds and then she took of running, as fast as her legs would carry.

Only back a little bit, and I’m already posting my trash art. I’m incorrigible. Was done to help me develop modern! Rikku. Will post a full drabble about the babe when it’s opportune, and for ease of those Rping with modern verse!

“What’s it to ya?” Locke said with a grin. His lip was split, cheek swollen, likely the precursor to a black eye. “You didn’t piss off the same guy I did?”
Normally, he’d be more concerned about a woman that looked like she’d been through the ringer. But she looked like she was way past the point of feeling no pain. If he lit a match within five feet of her head, it would set the whole place on fire.
Hopping up onto the stool with a grunt, he sighed. “This one’s on me,” he said, slapping a bill down onto the bar. That got him a second shot glass, which he summarily ignored and just drank straight from the bottle.
“This’s a bar, by the way,” he laughed, pointing at her e-cigarette. “You can actually smoke the real deal in here.” With a wink, he produced his cigarette case and pulled one out with his lips. “Then you can do fancy Zippo tricks.” Which he did, flipping the silver lighter between two fingers before taking a long drag. “Aaaah. There we go. The best shit for a headache.”
Well, at least the liquor cloud surrounding his companion didn’t combust.
“If we pissed off the same people, I think we’d have met before. Nothing like a scuffle among old friends. ”
Rather than straight away let on what she had done to get her ass beat, she answered the taunt about her little electric delivery system. The little light stayed lit for longer that it seemed possible, and a startlingly large cloud, wafted to the left of his head. The area around the table now reeked of strawberry.
“Try and do that with yours.” Rikku snickered gently, still amused with the little agility stunt. She could still be impressed. At least he could handle his booze. If him taking a pull straight from the bottle was any indicator. His assumptions about her being past feeling her pain were correct though. Which was just as well. Rikku circled her wrist, and it cricked every 15 degrees of motion.
“See if they get pissy with me for correcting their orders again... “
The smile on her face said that great age old line for her. You should see the other guy. Her forearms and head rested on the table, eyeing up her new drinking buddy, the ends of the microbraids falling forward over her eyes.
“Sooo, Do I get a name, or do I gotta give you mine first?” It was a polite inquiry, a gentle effort to start conversation.

“Yet even if we wait, even if the lance waits, the thunder and lightning will not. Nor will it cease.” Auron squinted up behind the dark shield of his glasses as another flash illuminated the underside of the roiling, tempestuous cloud cover. “And Sin certainly will not wait patiently as we chase down the tools that might help us defeat it. Time is as of the essence now as it was on the Pilgrimage.”
He cocked an eyebrow at the latter part of her complaint, wondering if she thought that such an argument would actually have any effect on him.
“Oh? So you and Lulu deserve special consideration over the other guardians just because?” A small gesture invited Rikku’s attention over to Yuna, who stood at Kimahri’s side as he stared out across the jagged landscape, eyes trained on their next tower destination. “I don’t hear Lady Yuna complaining.”
The amount of indignant was impressive, it didn’t seem like it should fit in that little of a body. Auron was treated to the most dour face Rikku could muster.
“Of course she’s not gonna complain. Yuna doesn’t do that. She’s literally gonna sacrifice her life, complaining isn’t her schtick. You can't tell me you don't want more time."
Rikku stared at her compatriot pointedly. Auron had gotten to be around her as she had grown. Something she resented gently. She'd only just gotten Yunie to start talking to her, something they couldn't do while they were running for their lives. When Rikku looked at Yuna she saw the gently stressed out look that always seemed to mean she was bottling something up. At this rate, Khimari would be more of a confidant than Rikku was. An affront altogether to someone trying to squeeze in a lifetimes worth of quality time.
“We won’t get this time back, no matter how quickly we move.”
