Faded

It was raining that night, the night he’s been dreading about years ago. And as he tried to speak no word has gone through, not even a single stutter of a word had left his mouth. His brain was clustered with thoughts he couldn't fathom making him loose the slightest of control he had. All that he could manage to do was held her close, kept her in his arms for as long as he could without shedding a tear as she wept gently into his chest inhaling every scent he has knowing it would be the last, like tomorrow will never come.

His heart beat louder than the loudest of thunders of storms and hurricanes combine while hers grew fainter with every pulse. Everything was in motion blur, distorted, pale, and ending. He wanted to speak every word he knew to her, all the words he hadn’t said, but he knew never were words enough to say goodbye. Without making a sound he kissed her calm and she faded like the tides have come to drift her away somewhere still. The rain stopped. But the sun was never in sight after that night, that rainy night.
