Why not share the story of what inspired this OC? I have a bunch of friends who are big into roleplaying, and I decided I wanted to join them. I had asked, according to Discord's search function, "Do I get, like. a vague sense of who your OCs are to try to make one that isn't from like starkly the wrong universe? I'm not having you all as Tolkienesque elves and I roll up like 'whaddup, I'm Terry, I'm a 52-year-old washed-up grunge rocker and drive a taxi poorly now' lol" but my friends said it'd be funny and encouraged me anyway. And thus, a star(?) was born!
Terry has continued to amuse people even beyond the friend group in which he was created, whether in the form of skits in which I play him or written fiction (never mind the roleplays.) A friend of mine encouraged me to write whump featuring him, and it's absolutely turned into a sitcom, thanks to A) my inability to write that genre, and B) Terry's pretty deadpan demeanour.
Fans of the character can even join his Discord server (where said skits, fics, and art go) and use Terry emojis wherever they want, should they have Nitro. There's just under a dozen members, but naturally, he thinks he might as well be the next Kurt Cobain with that kind of fan base. After all, he staunchly believes he embodies grunge, as seen in a text message he sent [in the context of a roleplay]:
