I am setting this muse down. Maybe I will pick him up again in the future, in a different timeline where neither he or I will have had to have gone through so much, but for the moment, he's happy, so I'm leaving him there.
Eight years sober. Married for six, together with the love of his life for seven. Five children, a circus of animals, and some kind of a fresh start after leaving the band. I'm setting this muse down with the hope that it will feel like coming back home when I pick him up again.
I don't know how many people will notice his absence. Our era on this site was a while ago and may never come again. And that's okay. But I refuse to put this character through any more unnecessary pain. So I'm letting him be happy in the life he's built, while I figure out how to deal with such a drastic change in mine.
