I'm curious to hear your thoughts on why you think Felix and Adrien are sentimonsters 👀 like what was the motivation 🤌
whether they were sentimonsters from birth, or if they born human and something Happened so they were resurrected as sentimonsters, I'm curious to know Why, and why Felix may potentially have had a different emotional basis than Adrien. And also Why Emilie only died two years before the the current point in the show
My theory (EMPHASIS ON: this is absolutely pure speculation lol):
Emilie and Amelie, being identical twin sisters, are both infertile due to some genetic reason they share. And due to their high status and old-money family (Amelie seems VERY proud of her family heritage, and it wouldn't be a stretch to think Emilie was too), the idea of being unable to pass along their family lines was unthinkable to them. Adoption wouldn't cut it, because they had ~Status~ to uphold and, I dunno, rich people logic.
Emilie and Gabriel (and Nathalie? idk) took a trip to tibet and either purchased the miraculouses off some black-market type deal or... I dunno, got really lucky on a hiking trip and stumbled upon the miraculouses.
They decided to the use the peacock miraculous to have a child— a child that would, to the outside world, be biologically theirs. I imagine this was more important to Emilie than Gabriel, but who knows. I imagine Emilie being excited to share this magic with her sister, so that her sister too could "pass on" the family line.
Emilie used the peacock miraculous, and used Gabriel as the emotional vessel to create their son (this way, they BOTH played a part in creating Adrien. You know... like... how babies are made lmao). I imagine Gabriel looking to Emilie, full of love for his wife, and that love creating Adrien, their son, who looks, let's be honest, just like Emilie.
I imagine, then, Amelie's husband (Felix's father) also getting a shot at using the peacock miraculous. Amelie is used as the emotional vessel. Amelie, filled too with love for the prospect of a family, creates a son after her own image... because she's all about that self-love. That son was Felix.
The differences in Felix and Adrien's personalities is either because the love that Amelie felt vs Gabriel felt was different, or it's just a result of them being raised differently. Felix does show a lot of love for his mother in the show, so I still think he was created with love, too.
Both of them used the twin rings to hold the amoks. The rings that were passed along their family line. Because those rings hold great emotional value to both Amelie and Emilie.
Felix and Adrien look perfectly alike, because they were created based off their mothers, who are identical twins (that, or Emilie and Amelie purposefully conspired to have their children look identical because they thought it'd be cute or something?? lol)
But the peacock miraculous was broken, and upon using it, both Emilie and Felix's father got sick. It started off small, but the moment they used the peacock miraculous, their fates were sealed.
Years passed. They went on with their lives. They vowed to keep the truth of their sons secret. But gradually, as time went on, they gradually got sicker and sicker. The sickness from the peacock never healed, it only chipped away at their life little by little. Their sickness came much slower than how we see Nathalie's sickness, because Nathalie used the peacock miraculous regularly, while Emilie and Felix's father only used it once each.
It took them 13 years to die.
(This is why Adrien says that Felix's father died very soon after Adrien's mom died. That's not a coincidence. 👀)
On his death bed, Felix's father told Felix that he was a sentimonster. He thought Felix had the right to know before he passed. Knowing that caused a bitter anger in Felix. Either Felix was always the little shit he is today, or Felix became disillusioned with the world upon learning that he was a sentimonster, and began acting out. (I think the latter. Amelie mentioned in the episode Felix that "his father isn't around to keep him in line anymore!" (or something) which to me implies that Felix acting out like that started after his father's death?)
