Jinx, but wearing armor - Fanart (By me, RarellanoArt)
THEORY - the guy who's jacket Vi stole was the same guy who stole Mr. Bunny from her when she was a kid.

Welcome to the Far Side of the Moon
A crescent Earth sets behind the Moon.
On April 6, 2026, the Artemis II astronauts flew around the Moon, observing the far side – which we never see on Earth thanks to tidal locking – with their own eyes and with cameras.

I'm not gonna repost because I'm not trying to bring drama into anyone's mentions, and at the end of the day, it really is not that serious because they're fictional characters but to answer the reason as to why Caitlyn and Jinx are interacted with differently is for the simple fact that Jinx is actually held accountable within the narrative of the show for her shortcomings, and Caitlyn just isn't. Jinx gets hunted down, ran into hiding, arrested, loved one in Isha dies, and then she has a fate that is either death or faked-death. Her actions also lead to the death of two father figures (you could argue that Silco's death is his fault and I would agree, but it's also a bit also complicated). Jinx was also a child/teenager when she did most of her actions under Silco, meanwhile Caitlyn was a grown woman with a lot of authority when she decides to gas Zaun in S2, and has the most political power of anyone in Piltover come S2 Act 2. And she decides to gas Zaun before she ever links up with Ambessa, it's portrayed as a decision she came to of her own accord - so blaming Ambessa's influence just doesn't work here. I'm not saying Jinx is in the right for the stuff she did under Silco, but it is different.
Also, in my opinion, comparing Jinx rerouting the Grey, which had been weaponized against her and Zaun, to go to Piltover is not at all the same as Caitlyn deciding to weaponize it in the first place. Also, neither one of them killed children?! That was Jayce.
I don't hate Caitlyn, but I don't like how her arc is handled S2 Act 2 and onward for several reasons, but seeing people get obtuse about why people have different reactions to Jinx, as if they aren't different - parallels doesn't = the same - it just rubs me the wrong way.
people before s2: vi is a virgin because she's been in prison for the greater part of a decade.
