Hello, and Welcome to our blog for NANA Pod!

About us; we are just two girls with different names but not so different from Nana & Hatchi who love Nana, and well, all of the work by Ai Yazawa. In our Podcast, we are sharing our thoughts & commentary on Nana Chapter by Chapter and we hope you'll join in the conversation! It has been so fun to see a resurgence of this story these last few years and we hope to contribute in this light. We also understand, the longing for more chapters--for me I was reading it in real-time so it feels like an eternity. But the most important thing is Miss Yazawa's health & safety and that we respectfully honor her boundaries while wishing her health & recovery.

We're Back!

Last week we got back to recording after a brief hiatus, unlike our favorite Mangaka. I thing we really missed it! And our time together, but sometimes life happens--and this year has been filled with grief. There are some hickups with posting from Spotify making changes but that will come soon!

the world is on fire, but we have gotten back to uploading!

we are also taking a break form NANA for Gokenjo!!! The first episode is out!

Also with Quarter Moon getting its first 'official' English translation we will be popping over to that realm of the Yazawaverse sooner than we had planned.

With the release of Gokinjo we are off on a Yazawaverse side quest over on NANApod. Why ? Why not + we hit the point in the story where the Anime stopped and the influx of new readers started--so it seemed like a great point for an interlude. We have had every intention to work our way through every piece of work that we can find. Which has made me miss the old torrent days because I even had this anime and its just not as east to find things now that the internet jungle has grown.

So here we are, reading chapter by chapter, comparing the fan translations to the publication, and the social differences from when these stories were written vs today. Maybe you'll join us! -K

New Episodes are Out & more to come!

Retrogrades can be rough but also have their purpose in movement and clearing the air of our patterns.

This goes for the Yazaverse as much as anywhere else.

Do I think that it's uncanny that when Venus joins the Rx season we are on the part in the story where true scandle and love triangles unfold?

Absolutely, NOT!

Retrograde season is all about clarity and adjustment to circumstance and this goes for the lives depicted in Nana as well.

Knowing that the story is based on real life relationships & events as shared by Yazawa herself in an interview am I insanely curious of the astro timelime irl...yes, of course!

Did I pull the chart of when this part of the story was published...I'm working on it along with an astro deep dive of Yazawa and her bodies of work...
