So I bought a car, its cheap, small, fuel efficient, and an amazing feeling of freedom. But I feel guilty about the craft it will release into the atmosphere during its lifetime, and at the same time, I need it. I have no other to get groceries without relying on my parents which doesn't always work for my schedule meaning I can for 3-4 weeks at a time without being able to get fresh fruit and vegetables. The bus that I could catch will cost $64 return trip each time I use it and also means I can't buy bulk amounts of groceries. It IS practical to reduce meat and dairy intakes and to recycle and reuse and to thrift but how people be expected to stop using their cars when some are situations like mine, or worse?
