hello!! i was wondering if you could do headcanons or a drabble (your choice!) with tech and a gn child/teen who has social anxiety that views him as a parental figure, which leads them to clinging to him very often? physically, emotionally, etc. (apologies if this isn’t detailed or descriptive enough!) of course, you don’t have to! i hope you have a good day/night :}

Tech honestly takes being seen a parental figure really seriously, though he doesn't really let on to that in any super obvious way. He just concludes rapidly that if you trust him enough to seek comfort from him then it's his responsibility to make sure he remains someone worthy of that trust. His care for you is very practical and a little protective
He picks up on your social anxiety fast even if it's not something you're generally open about. He'll notice if like crowds make you uncomfortable or that you don't like talking to people you don't know and as he realizes these things genuinely distress you, he starts finding ways to reassure you/make these situations easier for you to deal with
It takes him a little time to get used to you reaching for his sleeve/arm/hand in crowded places and he's initially just like really aware of it, but over time it becomes so normal to him that he starts slowing his pace automatically to match yours and holds out his hand for you to take without having to ask, making sure you don't get separated from him
Explains social situations before they happen because he knows uncertainty makes anxiety worse. Before meeting new people or entering unfamiliar places, he'll tell you who will be there, what will probably happen, how long it'll last, and reassure you that the plan can always change if you become uncomfortable. To him, information is reassuring, and he wants you to have a sense of preparedness
Makes little gifts for you that he thinks would be helpful like making things for you to fidget with
Physical affection isn't something that comes very naturally to Tech, but he adapts quickly if it's something you seek out a lot. Gets used to making room next to him for you sit with him, or if you ever need a hug he never lets go first and instead lets you pull away when you're ready
Genuinely does not mind when you're clingy. He's glad he's able to provide you comfort/security. As long as you're comfortable and he can still accomplish whatever task he's working on, he sees no reason to discourage it
If anyone ever teases you about being shy or being glued to Tech all the time he shuts it down immediately. Honestly gets kinda snarky about it and it's one of the main times his protectiveness shows
Emotional conversations/comfort aren't his strong suit and his first instinct when you're upset is usually to identify the cause and suggest practical solutions. While this isn't always what you need, he does genuinely try. If he realizes you just need someone to listen or validate your feelings he'll make a sincere effort to adjust his approach. Does get better with this over time
Praises you whenever you successfully handle something that would have terrified you before, just like acknowledging that you managed some interaction better than he'd previously observed and he's glad your confidence is improving
Really patient with you whenever you need reassurance. Always very calm and honest and never lets you feel bad for being clingy or needing him a lot
