my name is cheesy, government name CheesyDelphox as given to me by my younger self. i use any pronouns because i don't identify with any identities relating to gender! i am cheesy and cheesy is me.

i am 18+ but do not post/reblog any hardcore made content from this blog, the most it will be is suggestive/slightly racy

i am on the autism spectrum and can have a hard time with subtleties and tone in conversation so tone tags are always appreciated

i don't have a dedicated list of fandoms i post about any more because my interests tend to shift and you just get what you get here

i like mest and lahar from fairy tail a lot and i think it's getting unproductive to continue to write essays justifying it. i have cemented my place as someone who like stuff that can be considered a bit left-of-center and that's just how i am i guess

was thinkin today about how lahar is the very rare type of fairy tail character that straight up doesn't use magic in any capacity on screen

this doesn't mean he can't use magic though, it's implied that he can- during the scene he first shows up SOMEONE had to throw up those runes and it's implied that it's him

the grand magic games arc also had the magic power finder on the day he was a guest commentator. he remarked milliana's score (like 359 iirc) was good enough for her to be a squad leader or higher ranked magic council member. which suggests that he has a similar amount of magic power to milliana

this doesn't mean, of course, that he's as strong as her. the whole point of that scene is that milliana's raw power isn't great but she has incredible flexibility and such. she would whoop lahar's ass any day of the week

my best guess is that magic council members are trained in a very rudimentary form of rune magic allowing them to form barriers. and your ability at that is part of what influences whether you rise in rank. we never see a member of the magic council using magic as force which is... a good thing considering they're the in-universe magic cops.

it's so interesting that we never saw him... do anything? like magic wise? in a series about wizards? where he is a named character that does things sometimes?
