reviewing the geneva conventions pt 1

pg 1-25

After a long 22 pages of titles and tables of content, we finally reach the inception of our journey: the preliminary remarks. I was excited to finally be reading words, and was pleased at the rhetorical strategies seen within. It contextualizes the events leading up to these conventions because conceptuated, and delves into the ethos of the text, such as who is signing and why they're credible. This ensures that we trust and can lend our confidence to these papers. This section has enthralling diction. It then transitions into providing the four horsemen of geneva, the posse of anti war criminals, the mean girls of the convention:

1. sick (ill not rad) and/or wounded people but only on land

2. the same as 1 but for sea (includes shipwrecked because the authors watched Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and are Not going to make the same mistakess)

3. ✨prisoners of war✨

4. what to do with normal people when they weren't invited to the party (civilians)

We then learn that these 4 committees all worked so hard together (participation trophies all around) to come up with a final draft, which was then signed by a lot of countries I will not be listing because I'm tired.
