“I go-got you this!”
Where had he been? Well, that wasn’t important. But what was important was that he was holding out...A bag from a bakery? What was he up to?
“They’re, um, ci-cinnamon or so-something like that? I can’t e-eat, so I thought you’d li-like them!”
“Someone ca-called me...A ci-ci-cinnamon roll? But I’m n-not a food?”
No, probably not. To Shadow it looked like the weird animal was in pain. Like don’t touch there, it hurts.
Yellow knew more about these things than he did, and he was looking for the android anyways. Shadow slid one hand underneath the animal, and lifted it up to carry in his arms. Cmon, small thing.
Yellow squealed, legs wiggling as he tried to run in the air after being picked up. What was he doing?!

He got it! Blue dropped the sock when the Siamese yanked on it, delighted.
“You win!” He said, grinning. “Good kitty~”
He might have time for another round before having to head home, too-
What time was it? Oh dear. Green and Feather in the house for too long didn’t tend to go well.
“One more, kitty,” He said, reaching for another sock, “And then I’ve got to leave.”
Leave? But why? Yellow tilted his head, holding the sock in his mouth. He couldn’t leave yet!
What to do, what to do. Maybe if he dragged the ‘game’ out, Blue wouldn’t leave? Maybe if he just refused to play, Blue would stay?
Trying to be logical is hard when you’re a cat.
Then again, maybe not. Now it didn’t seem to be moving.
Very, very carefully, Shadow nudged the creature’s head with one finger. “Are you ok?”
Yellow flicked one ear, lifting his head to give Shadow the most irritated look he could.
Considering he was Yellow, and also a cat, it probably didn’t have the desired effect.
Alley cat
Of course he had no idea this was a cat who could be frustrated. “Whoops!” Blue held it up a little lower. “Almost had it!”
Oh man. What a great cat.
Had to get it! This time, for sure!
He crouched again, ears flicked back, wiggling as he prepared to pounce.
Got it! He sunk his teeth in, trying to use his weight to dislodge the sock from Blue’s grip.
And that arrested his attention again. Was the weird animal ok?
“Is that something you’re supposed to do?” He asked, leaning over a bit just to be sure. It looked alright, though why on earth did it do…anything he’d seen it do?
Yellow was sulking, now, looking as annoyed as a cat could look. Everything sucked. He couldn’t talk. He couldn’t do cat things.
The worst.
Alley cat
Oooh, he’s going for it!
Blue gently swung the sock around in midair. “C’mon, kitty.” Catch the sock, kitty, catch the sock.
3... 2... 1...
He pounced! ....He missed. And landed on his face. Smooth.
“Rrrr...”
Alley cat
“Goodness, you’re a loud kitty. Yes you are! Yes you are!”
Blue has zero problems with being claimed by this cat. He stepped over the cat to pick up a sock from the clothes pile and dangled it above the Siamese. Play time, Yellow.
That was his sock!
He had no use for it, ever, but it was his!!!
The cat crouched down, pupils dilating as he watched the dangling sock. It seemed that he had some instinct, and some idea of what to do.
He was going to get that sock!
Seriously. What is this thing doing? It has legs, it should be able to walk fine.
He inched his shoe away from the creature’s paw. “You’re not who I was looking for, you know.” Vaguely irritated now. Just wasted like five minutes just staring at this thing.
“Mrrrra!”
Yes, he is exactly who you’re looking for, Shadow. And he’ll try to prove it by standing on two legs.
Of course, cats aren’t exactly made to do that, so it swiftly resulted in him falling over. He lay on his side, tail swishing in annoyance.
What a weird animal. What was it doing?
“What is that supposed to accomplish?” Get ahold of yourself, kitty. Get a job, get your life together. He hadn’t been this interested in something since the toaster.
“Rrrrr?”
The kitty wiggles over to Shadow, Why is he being a worm when he could just stand up and walk? Well, because he’s Yellow. And even as a cat, he has to do things the hard way.
Alley cat
“Oh!” He waved his arms to keep himself upright, nearly tripping over the siamese.
“Yes! Hello!” He said in response to the meows once he’d gotten his balance. “What a cute cat you are! Have you seen anybody besides me down here?” Not that he expected an answer; talking to cats was just fun.
More loud yowls, followed by a shaky purr as the cat rubbed his face over one of Blue’s shoes. Blue! Blue!!! His now! His!!
“Mrrr! Mraaa! Mrrrw!”

Well, it wasn’t like the cat could talk. If he could, he’d probably be telling Shadow who he was. But, alas, he could not speak. So he’d make do with wiggling around on the floor like some kind of strange worm.

Blue stood in the alley where he was certain he’d met that lookalike of his brother, hopelessly confused. He was certain he’d seen the boy in this spot the last couple times he’d passed over. Ordinarily he’d call, but…well, for all Blue knew, he had no name to call.
Just a pile of clothes and- He turned around at a loud MROW.
Well. A cat was neat too.
Blue! He was here! What was he doing here? Yellow didn’t really know, but he was here!
The cat wound himself around Blue’s legs, meowing loudly. Oh. Great. He’s a siamese-

I don’t think he was expecting that. At all. He hadn’t really felt it due to his broken ‘nerves’, but he knew that someone was touching him, and it weirded him out a little bit.
