I remember as a kid being so excited for Mother’s Day spending days figuring out what to give mom. I remember one specific year where my brother and I decided to wrap some of our toys along with her gift because we wanted to play with her. She was so excited and we played all day together.

It’s my 7th Mother’s Day as a mom and to this day I have never received a gift or a flower. The only people to say happy Mother’s Day to me today was one of my roommates and an old boss of mine, whom I adore. Today I was told that Mother’s Day was about my mother and my grandmother and not me when I asked about why I didn’t get any cards or flowers.

Yet here I am, feeling guilty for wanting my boyfriend to make a bigger deal about it so my son can at least get excited about it, because I feel so alone and like I don’t deserve the extra attention despite how much I sacrifice for my family. Oh well, here’s to next year.

I was today years old when I learned that when you type "otp: true" in AO3 search results it filters out fics with additional ships, leaving only the fics where your otp is the main ship

I've known this for awhile. These cheat codes make almost everything that is annoying on AO3 a non-issue. It's a seriously badass platform. To be clear, you must put the code in "search within results" EXACTLY as it appears in the code list. No capitals, the right spaces and punctuation.
