i was thinking more about this ring that karlie wore on mother’s day this year, it had been identified, so i went and looked up more about it…

its a piece that costs $4,900 which i thought was numerically noteworthy, and it’s called the Ceres Deux ring (YG probably stands for yellow gold) and it’s from a place called Spinelli Kilcollin, and they conveniently had a description:

so ceres is this goddess whose torch leads the way in weddings, guides the laws of marriage.. etc. there’s some symbology there to be sure. but at any rate it was not a stock description so it got me curious to learn more about the brand / jeweler. so i tapped away to the about us page when it hits me

it’s a company founded by two people who put together their last names to form the company name

Spinelli and Kilcollin.

and so i decided to do a post about this ring here.
