“Everything is consensual roleplay.”
So we all know the setting can get pretty heavy and angsty sometimes. Here’s my breath of fresh air for you: The entire premise is a movie, and all the characters (yours included!) are actors.
Bailey is like an on-set parent for the younger actors. The minute the cameras stop rolling, they’re grinning and helping the other people in the scene to their feet. Always brings beer.
Avery is a major cornball. If there’s a prank on set or with the scripts, it’s most likely their doing. They’ll flub a line, and then immediately crack up and tell the cameras to keep rolling, they’ve got this! One of the easiest actors to make laugh during filming.
Robin’s an experienced actor, but this is the first time they’re playing a starring role. Likes to give Whitney a hard time, but it’s all in good fun–never goes too far. Friends with the other ‘student’ actors.
Kylar is THE most famous actor on the set. Most of the time they’ve played ‘good guys’ and popular people, so the chance to play a jumped up little creep with a tragic backstory is SO exciting for them.
Sydney used to be devoutly religious in their private life, and was very excited to develop their character for this script. Pure Sydney is what they were like when they were younger, and Corrupt Sydney is an extreme version of what they were like once they decided to loosen up a little more. Very friendly with the rest of the cast.
This is Whitney’s first gig. They are SO nervous. Whenever it looks like they pushed too hard or said something too harsh, they’ll immediately cave and ask if the other person’s okay. They need reassurance that they’re doing a good job! Hangs out with Kylar, Sydney, and Robin off of set.
Eden’s an aging movie star. They’re a bit like Kylar–normally they played romantic leads in movies, not the scary hermit in the woods. But they’re enjoying themselves.
Leighton’s an odd case: They’re not a traditional actor, but they’re an accomplished kinkster who’s done thousands of scenes like this, and they’re incredibly proficient in roleplay. Constantly asks for their partner’s colors and how they’re holding up during the scene, and the minute it seems like it’s too much for them, they’ll stop the scene. They give the best aftercare once the cameras are off.
Every single ‘animal’ character (Black Wolf and Great Hawk included) are stage actors, not hollywood actors–this is the first time they’ve done something for the silver screen. Their favorite broadway show is probably Cats. They probably starred in a production of it, too. They all take their roles very seriously.
And all of them are ready to stop at a moment’s notice if you’re uncomfortable.
