sleepless night
the playful attitude that choa was currently wearing shed itself, and her facade was now replaced with something more serious. “even though we kissed, our relationship is completely platonic, yes?” please say yes
“I mean, maybe you could?” he blinked a few times, looking Choa over. While she was pretty fierce in her own right, Jisoo didn’t consider her to be some kind of femme fatale. He cut up a bit of his food before taking another bite slowly as he watched the other in return. It had become a bit more serious than he thought it would, but it wasn’t like he minded at all. If she wanted serious, he could do serious. Fingers put down the items he was holding onto before he twisted his body to watch her more head on, head resting on one of his own hands.
Jisoo laughed softly, lips moving into a smile as he tilted his head slowly. “Uhuh ok. It’s ok, you don’t have to vet for me, I already know the truth.” His free hand waved, snort escaping because honestly he probably was partly bad. That’s what you get for only being with one or two people over a long period of time. “Serious question??” An eyebrow raised as he settled in to listed, a bit confused when the air become completely tense. The younger was almost surprised by the question as his eyes widened. Jisoo honestly couldn’t help himself as he pretended to debate the situation for a moment, gaze drifting up to the ceiling as a deep sigh escaped.
Slowly he leaned over, head tilting like he was going to kiss Choa again before their faces were almost too close. Jisoo smiled mischievously, eyes disappearing as he whispered, “Our relationship is completely platonic, but I’m glad to know I still get your heart racing~” A laugh rung out, his body falling back as he grinned from ear to ear like a complete idiot. Their friendship was just that, a friendship, drunk kisses or not.
[ ; now or never ]
as soon as jayoung’s sent those, she feels immediate regret. ‘just want to talk’? what the heck? jisoo’s gonna think that she’s mad at him or something! whimpering, she flops face-down onto her bed. it’s going to be a long night.
Eyebrows rose slowly as he headed into his room, flopping on the bed. Jisoo let out a small hum as he fell back against said bed while holding the phone up above his face. Usually, a textbook recipe for disaster, but he was actually pretty gifted with texting. Sometimes.
[sms -> kick ass] Eh??
[sms -> kick ass] Oh! you want to just normal hang out like real people do
[sms -> kick ass] good plan. Where am I heading too? I can leave now.
This changed things a bit. Jisoo couldn’t help but to laugh to himself as it was unusual for Jayoung to ask to just hang out since they were both so competitive and athletic. He rubbed at his nose, phone fall to the side as an arm rested above his head. Normal hanging out was good too though, he liked taking a break every once in a while.
Feet wiggled for a moment as he contemplated changing, but this shirt seemed ok... maybe. The athlete gave its test sniff before he sighed and pushed himself up on his hands. Ok so maybe changing before they met up was a good idea. Jisoo had been planning to clean up anyway, it would only take him a few minutes. Eyes drifted to his closet before he finally got up off the bed and proceeded to make himself look just a bit more human.
♟
It was such a stupid idea to begin with. They were both tired from working out, but he couldn’t ever resist Jayoung when she really wanted something. Jisoo cursed himself softly as he grabbed the first aid kit he always kept in his bag before running back to her side. They had been grappling a bit, playing around, before it turned almost too competitive. One move the wrong way, a twist the other, they were both on the ground in an instant. Jisoo hadn't even noticed the cut until a bit of blood ran against his arm as they brushed by each other. A small sigh escaped as he settled in next to the girl, taking her arm gently as he began to wipe up and disinfect the cut. Hopefully the rest of her was still in tact.
“This is why I never like fighting you...one of us always manages to get the other in some kind of trouble. How did a cut even happen??” Worry clouded his features as he found a bandage, covering the cut before giving a nod of approval. Fingers danced gently along her arm for a moment as Jisoo’s gaze lingered. He didn’t like hurting her ever, it’s why he couldn’t fight with her even if she could hold her own just fine. There had been many times he found himself pinned to something or thrown halfway across the room. Jayoung was...different to him, someone precious. She understood the trainings he went through and woke up at the same time he did on many days. The athlete smiled after a moment, shaking the situation from his head as he looked up at his friend, “I totally was going to kick your ass though.”
♗
Why he had let Jia convince him to help at cheerleading practice, he still didn’t know. A soft noise escaped as his body hit the seat next to her. It was too late in the evening now for moving as Jisoo, unashamed, fell right over before resting his head on her knee. He looked up at Jia, a soft smile forming as eyes fluttered ever so slightly. “You know...I really should next time volunteer one of the other guys to help you. How do you feel about Bobby? I bet he’s got a lot of spirit.” They both knew it was too hard for him to say no to a friend’s request though.
Jisoo let his eyes shut as he decided a moment wouldn’t be too bad. An arm rested over his eyes, blocking out the light of the gym as his legs started to relax. They were tightening a bit from the over exertion today, but he’d worry about that once he got back to his room. It wasn’t like him to show any form of weakness, but for now...he was going to rest. Jia was a willing pillow and it wasn’t like he was going to complain one bit.
♤ (DON'T LOOK AT ME) + ♧
♧ april 2016, two days after the dance
They weren’t always this way. At least Jisoo didn’t remember it ever being this quiet as they sat together after classes. He watched Sulli, taking in the fine lines of her face as he wondered what was actually going through her mind. Things were...shaky at best, but he thought they were at a better place than they had been lately. A hand reached up slowly, fingers moving to naturally play at her hair like he used to, back when everything was different. A ghost of a smile appeared as his bangs fell across his own eyes, a small laugh almost escaping.
“You never could resist studying so intensely. Even now, that’s something that hasn’t changed,” he murmured, watching her still as fingers tangled in the soft, dark locks. While her studying habits hadn’t changed, it felt like so much had in it’s place, yet some things hadn’t at all. Jisoo looked away slowly as he realized what he was doing as it seems he still couldn’t resist Sulli, hand falling to the table as eyes diverted gaze to the book in front of him. His studying habits hadn’t changed much either. “I’m sorry.” The athlete didn’t even know what he was apologizing for, but he felt the need to say it. Maybe he was sorry for not being by her side at the after party, or perhaps he was sorry for bringing up the past. The past was the past after all, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to try and make a new future.
♛ healthy chorong dessert
They hadn’t really hung out much past a hello in the hallway or a quick wave here and there. Jisoo knew a lot about Jungkook regardless with the way Chorong and Sulli mentioned him. He found the other interesting, intriguing even, and he wondered how to even approach a conversation because it wasn’t like he wasn’t good at it...he was just... A sigh escaped as he ran through the first statement in his head.
Why hello there, you know my ex girlfriend and the woman who is like my mother, should we be friends? Well that just sounds dumb as hell, Jisoo.
The athlete shook his head as he let out a sigh before realizing that Chorong had left him desserts again. Eyes lit up as the athlete tossed his bag aside, gathering up the container and a spoon before heading out to the common area.
Suddenly he stopped, realizing that Jungkook was there. Well, it was a good of a time as any and this would be less awkward that he hoped. Jisoo wandered over with determination before settling in next to the other, holding out the container almost wordlessly with a spoon. “Chorong made this so it’s the best on the planet...do you want some?” And possibly be my friend because it seems like the only people who talk to me lately, other than Uui hyungnim, are girls?
Jisoo smiled brightly, hoping he didn’t look too ridiculous before letting out a cough, “She told me you like them too.” At least he hoped he did, he was totally making that up, but they were friends so how could he not like Chorong’s cooking?
♗ Your muse falling asleep with their head in my muse’s lap
It wasn’t his usual resting place honestly, but Jisoo was too tired to even care. The word was spinning and yet slow at all at once as the high from dancing and drinking started to disappear. Taehyun had convinced him to go to a bar that he had never been to, but he somehow trusted the elder in ways that even he didn’t understand. After one too many tequila shots (or was it vodka?), they had managed to somehow stumble outside when Jisoo realized that everything was spinning way too fast. He almost felt bad for the bush that he had trampled when keeping himself from getting sick. The night was clear, cool almost for the spring as Jisoo flopped himself onto the bench before tugging Taehyun down with him.
“You know...” he mumbled quietly, body almost too lanky for the space they had taken up, “I don’t think I want to move anytime soon.” Jisoo was like a puppy with how he curled up, head resting in Taehyun’s lap almost immediately. The other was comfier than he let on and the warmth was welcoming as eyes fluttered shut to block out the light of the city. The athlete started to drift, his thoughts swirling around as the darkness took over until his body started to completely relax. There went making it home in a taxi for the moment.
So it wasn’t his usual place for resting, but that was ok. He considered Taehyun his friend and he decided he’d do the same for the other one day... well if they even remembered most of tonight.
♔
It had been raining after their now usual weekend outing and unfortunately, tipsy Jisoo didn’t think to ever bring any kind of umbrella. He led her through the rain together, reaching his room first since it was the closest after running as quick as they could. Once inside, he realized he didn’t have anything to munch on after binging before a meet so he left Choa to clean up while finding something for them to snack on. If only Choa’s glorious kitchen had been just a little closer, but they honestly looked like drowned rats. It was a toss up honestly.
“Yah you know that there’s like...” Jisoo stopped mid sentence as he came wandering back into his room from hunting for food. It wasn’t easy to sneak out to the corner store, but he had done it in record time. The athlete was surprised by what he saw as the hood fell back off his drying hair, eyes staring at the sight in front of him. A laugh rung out as he realized what Choa was wearing since it wasn’t often girls used his clothes. One of his basketball jerseys and possibly the baggiest shorts she could have picked hung from her small frame. “Oh my god, it’s like swallowing you whole. Am I that really that wide in the middle?? Maybe they’re right, I do need to start dieting a bit more...” But that meant giving up the very chocopie he was currently taking a bite out of. Jisoo started to grin from ear to ear as he walked over to Choa, holding the snack out so she could take a bite. “You'd totally fit right in with the basketball team, you know...”

march 2016
Jisoo stared long and hard for a moment as he cleared his throat a few times. He glanced a bit around the room, trying not to look at Uui who was attempting to guide his arms as the music played. “You know, hyungnim, I know how to dance!” Kind of. He didn’t want to admit that maybe once in a while he had two left feet. Another noise escaped as he felt himself giving in, putting his arms out to Uui and tugging the elder closer. The other seemed pleased by this as a soft sigh escaped from Jisoo’s lips. Their height difference worked actually, in terms of matching any dance he might have with Sulli at the formal. Arms held onto the elder man tightly as he attempted to move properly, not wanting to look like a complete fool. It was probably too late for that.
“Hey... Uui hyung...” he said softly after a moment, fingers curling slightly into the other’s shirt as they swayed around the arm room. For once he wasn’t using the formalities and for some reason, he didn’t feel awkward at all with their dancing at the moment. Uui was someone he trusted even if he didn’t know why always. Dark brown eyes softened immediately as he came to halt. “I don’t know if I can do this.” They both knew what Jisoo was talking about and it wasn’t the dancing, even if he had never truly told Uui all the details from the past. His smile almost became sad as he tried to regain the dance composure once more. Practice was practice after all. “Is it really just going to be slow dancing today???”

It was interesting how they worked together. Jisoo thought of his optimism being the balance to her pessimistic nature. Honestly, the pedestal didn't always exist, especially not since their breakup, but he didn’t think it was worth changing how he acted. Sulli was...Sulli after all. He had accepted the good and the bad together with time after what happened between them. Lately, it was honestly more good than bad, especially when they hung out together and talked like they used to. The smile on his lips grew as he let out a soft laugh. “Hey, someone has to give you a little boost of confidence sometimes right??”
The athlete shot Sulli back a look as he pushed his bangs back, shrugging when she didn’t take the hoodie. It wasn’t like he truly needed it at the moment as it hung limply over his arm, it was just the first thing he grabbed when going out the door. “I’ve seen you pretty much almost topple over things while completely normal you know...” he let out a soft snort before flicking another glance, “Yeah. Pants are probably a good idea. As much fun as being arrested sounds this morning.”
Jisoo paused for a moment when she started to walk, his eyebrows slowly raising as he let out a breath. Considering Bogum would become an important figure in his life in the coming days, he decided it was worth following even if there was a part of him considering turning around. A hand reached for the door as he stumbled inside, pushing it shut behind him before following Sulli naturally. He wondered for a moment what she was thinking about as flashes of memory passed past his eyes- lights, people laughing, alcohol. Fingers pressed agains his skull as if he might remember something, but the party had all blended into one honestly after the dance. The dance...His eyes fluttered as he looked up to where her form was ahead of him as Jisoo cleared his throat, “Did you enjoy the dance itself at least? I told you I would dress better this year.” Thank god for Uui. Maybe it was the year for change after all.

“Feels like I have. You can just say I look like shit, I know I do.” White lies come easily, as they always do. She takes his hand, only the last of a hundred other times, pulling him inside with a pointed look. “I’m definitely not ready to get back to society.” Sure as hell not like this. She lowers her eyes, sweeping over the fraying hem of her shirt, bruised knees, slippers in pink plastic. Her hair’s still damp, seeping cold over her back.
She lets go of him to open the water, frowning when the cap refuses to give. Surrender comes all too soon, with a wide-eyed stare, the bottle held out between them. This is familiar. It’s a struggle on the best of days, let alone as hungover as she is now.
“Open this for me?”
Eyes shifted slowly to look over at Sulli past the edge of his hood. The dark blue material blurred her out slightly, but he could tell she was thinking about something. Was it the party last night? Was it him? Maybe he shouldn’t have let her be dragged off by the others, but they were initiates after all. Maybe he should have found her after his task...but it was too late for maybes. An almost bitter smile ghosted over his lips as he looked ahead once more as they continued to walk together.
“Hey, you never look like shit to me, even if you think you do,” he murmured, the words said without a hint of lying in return. Jisoo was the white where Sulli was black, but that wasn’t always true. Their fingers loosely tangled together in almost a natural movement as he stopped to glance over at her choice of...outfit. Even her hair was still wet. A soft noise escaped as he then realized what she was wearing, it was barely enough. It was good she let go as he started to tug said hoodie up and off, a simple torn t-shirt underneath from a wrestling match. Hands held it out before he realized what Sulli was doing.
“Yah give that to me...” Jisoo laughed softly because she never could open a bottle, even something as simple as one with water. Fingers made the exchange of the hoodie for the bottle as he worked on getting it open in seconds before holding it back out again with a warm smile. It was tinged with almost a bit of sadness, but almost something familiar of the past as his eyes turned into half moons. “Those shoes really do not look that sturdy. I’m pretty sure I could carry you on my back the rest of the way? If you want. Where did you even get those anyway??”
Then it hit the athlete right over the head that she didn’t have anything on that she came in last night really. Jisoo’s smile almost faltered for a moment before he gained composure once more. It wasn’t like he had any say in anything she did anyway, besides it was a crazy party last night and Bogum had been the one with her in the morning. There was no reason to think anything aside from what Sulli wanted him to know. What right did he have anymore past the feeling of being a protective friend? Even if his heart ached in the same way, it didn’t really mean anything in the end.
sleepless night
placing a pillow on her ankle, in efforts to hide them from prying eyes in slight embarrassment, she turns to jisoo, “that’s all i really remember, that and having fun of course.” a lie. it was a blatant lie. she remembered the two kisses that they had shared, although she didn’t want to be the one to bring it up. all feelings she had towards him were platonic, but the thought of the kisses weighed heavily on her mind. she ignores the anxiousness that comes with the thoughts and lets a smile cross her visage before eating the rest of the food on her plate
A laugh escaped almost on it’s own when Choa pushed more bacon onto his plate. He thanked her with a warm smile before picking up a piece to chew on. Jisoo rested gently next to her, free hand picking up his coffee as he took a slow drink before considering the night before. Some of it was a blur, some of it wasn’t at all, but it wasn't like he was embarrassed by any of it. Dark brown eyes glanced over to his friend as he listened to her speak for a moment.
“Hey, you haven’t done the worlds worst intense work out at like 4 am then...” he murmured, trying not to smile too much before chewing on his own food in thought. “Yeah there was a lot of dancing and I’m pretty sure you could kill someone with those heels, you know?” Jisoo glanced over to the collection, thinking that any one of those pairs could be a weapon easily.
Suddenly their talking almost stopped as he watched Choa for a moment. Jisoo’s lips started to twitch, teeth sinking into the bottom tier as a soft snort escaped. He took another sip from the coffee cup before letting out a dramatic sigh. “I give what you call amazing kisses and that’s all there is??” It was totally in a joking manner though, elbow gently pressing at her side before Jisoo gave a playful grin. They had always been platonic, even now, but it wasn’t like he could ignore the elephant in the room either. The topic didn’t scare him much at all, considering Choa was the kind of person to speak her mind if she was upset by something.
04 | #WhatTeam @jisoo
Despite the ridiculous uniform he hated (with the intensity of a thousand suns), Tae was smiling all the way to the spot he was said he would find this hyun. Jisoo Jisoo Jisoo Jisoo, that was his mind setting a pattern so he wouldn’t forget the name he had on the paper that he lost somewhere after all the classes he had that day.
“Hey, Jisoo-hyung?”
He choose the hand-on-shoulder action. Was that too much?
A hum escaped as he shot up another ball towards the hoop. Jisoo was moving to the pace in his head as he picked up the ball before looking at it curiously. Maybe he needed to work on the angle, or possibly it was just one of the days where he was off. A sigh escaped as he dribbled the ball for a moment from hand to hand. There were things going on that had him distracted, he knew he had to better, but how? Determination crossed his face as his fingers curled into the basketball, jersey hanging loose for a moment. There was too much going on, too much to do, too much to think about...
Suddenly words and a soft touch brought him out of his haze of thoughts, head whipping around slightly. “Eh?” Jisoo’s eyes widened in surprise, a laugh bubbling out as he realized it was Taeoh. All defensive feelings melted away immediately from the sight of his teammate. “Oh!! Taeoh!! There you are.” A grin spread from ear to ear, eyes disappearing into half moons as he tossed the ball aside. Then he realized the name pun he had just made as another laugh escaped. “It’s good to see you, how was your day?”
The shorter man was newer to the team, but Jisoo enjoyed his spirit and presence. It seemed like he was pretty good at elbow people in precisely the right rib too which was useful on the court sometimes. A hand pushed his hair back as he reached down for his water really quick, taking a sip and then realizing Taeoh might want some too as he held it out towards him.
So...following the new trend as there is so many new people and I honestly cannot catch up with messaging and plotting with all of you. Especially since we just went through and cleaned up the ever important plots page!
Hi all!! I can’t lie to you and say I have not been lazy as a mun because...I totally have plus a bit of sickness and life issues. Jisoo is getting back into it, but he is literally a giant labrador retriever so he would love to talk to anyone and everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re new, old, just want to start a scene, come on down.
Let’s do a little quick facts that may or may not bring you in:
- Actually a giant, gentle idiot who possibly will eat anything and does run into glass doors because he doesn’t see the glass. Jisoo is actually kind of huge loser who pretends to be hip.
- Junior olympiad wrestler and all around sports addict. Jisoo constantly runs every morning and is insanely competitive. If you scare him at night, he will pin you to the wall in fear.
- Addicted to partying and quite possibly likes alcohol a little too much, but he’ll never admit it. He just claims he likes to be around ‘crowds.’
-Will escape campus at 2 AM for pizza or even just a taco. Or a dozen donuts ( but they need to have the cream inside ).
-Can be found constantly with his dog Bo, who everyone should love.
-Cheong Ryong initiate and he’s totally ok with that. Maybe.
I have updated the plots page so please go ahead and look, but we are pretty much up for anything. Jisoo is for sure in need of friends and maybe more scenes with fellow initiates? Organic stuff is really good too so please feel free to toss in a random text or scene starter. We can always be reached at #jisoops as well ^^ ok bye
