hi there :3 i have a dilemma

so! im a pretty feminine presenting person (which makes me very self concious) but i wish i wasnt, and im mostly a girl but gender wise im a weird bit of everything.

my large chest has gotten in the way for so long and ive always been self concious and uncomfortable with my chest since it developed tbh. ive wanted a binder for probably 5+ years; ive struggled w my gender for forever; and i'm really close to buying one after talking with my trans guy friend the other day. 

i want a more neutral/androgynous appearence but it changes day by day (im probably genderfluid or something but thats not the point and i just dont like labels). i feel like i cant be androgynous with my large chest.

im going to college in a year, and im really excited to experiment with my self-expression there, but rn i cant really bc of my other family heckling me about it which they dont really care but i just dont want to deal with rn

anyway. im really close to getting one; money for it and even family isnt the issue (my awesome mom is very supportive of lgbtq and trans people actually). the problem is me. im so scared that i will like a binder so much and that its going to change everything and send me into a weird gender spiral. which even if that happens i know ill be more happy in the long run, but im scared of losing people or getting backlash or being made fun of. i want to feel more comfortable, but im really scared. pls help

unfortunately i dont feel that connected to the therian community anymore and i feel disconnected from my alterhuman self

i still identify as a therian, but i dont know how relevant it is in my life anymore as i found solice in this community at a time where i was able to be more connected to my alterhumanity and spirituality

to clarify, i still identify as a therian and the animals i am (deer, horse, and feline clado) but it does not play as big of a role in my life as it used to

so i am going to change my blog to a focus on more of myself! i hope you guys will stick around with me, as i will post therian content but not as often and more about personal stuff

how to be a wolf in a human body

sing. it doesn't matter if you can't carry a tune to save your life. you can hum. you can mumble along to your favorite songs in the shower. you can sing Phantom of the Opera or Nirvana or Miley Cyrus. it doesn't matter. just sing.

experience nature. this can mean going for a walk, or it can mean just watering the cactus sitting on your windowsill. it can even mean watching a nature program on tv or looking at the stars through a telescope.

be in touch with the cycle of the moon. it doesn't have to be spiritual (but it can be if you want it to be!). take some time to just experience the moonlight. say a prayer. sing a song. memorize the names of each full moon.

reach out to your fellow wolves. wolves are social creatures. they need family, friends. if you have no one in "real life" to talk to, there are countless wolves online.

present yourself in a way that honors your wolf heritage. that could mean wearing earth tones. it could mean crystal necklaces. it could mean black nail polish or color contacts. you'll feel better. i promise.

Make a pillow fort. Want to feel like you're in a cozy den while at the same time realize that maybe sometimes, life is okay? Pillow fort is your friend. Grab some chairs and some blankets and pillows and your favorite plushie, and voila, wolf in den.

Food. Now, I know there's a lot of different diets out there and not everyone can or wants to eat meat. And while it does certainly works great for food that makes wolf happy, it's definitely not a must. How about a berry salad (grey wolves, I see you and your blueberries!) However, if you decide to go with something meat based, here's a super secret tip. Ever wanted to eat raw meat because wolf brain said yes, but human guts very vehemently said no, you will die? Let me introduce you to German Mettwurst. Look it up and thank me later.

Nature sounds. Remember that pillow fort you may or may not be sitting in right now? Well, here's how to make the experience even more den-like. Grab your phone, or tablet, or whatever you have that makes sufficient and fitting noise, find a video of forest sounds and boom. Now with 50% more den-feeling.

It can be hard to get comfortable if your body is a lot less furry than it should be. However, there luckily is a remedy for this sin of nudity. Grab a blanket, or two, or five, and cuddle up. Also, from personal experience I can say that investing in a weighted blanket is one of the best decisions I ever made.

Sometimes you just need distance from it all. Grab your gear and head out to the forest, or to the park. If you don't wanna be seen, go at night (but stay safe!). If the outdoors isn't an option, turn off your phone, close the blinds, and watch a documentary. Let the whole world go quiet for a moment.

Floor time. Seriously. Dog go floor. Instant relaxation. Lie down. Sit down. Whatever you want. No need for chairs. Just plop down wherever. Tail wagging guaranteed.

I love seeing posts from "rare" weres, therians with uncommon theriotypes, therians with experiences nobody else seems to relate to, endels and clinical zoanthropes with unique and diverse experiences as nonhumans, and somewhat personal blogs describing shifts, phantom, mental, or physical.

I just appreciate how humbling this community can be. I've seen the strange, the incredible, the bittersweet, the scary, etc. but it's all worth it in the end to know that I, we, are a part of a history most humans cannot fathom, and that's a gift.
