Week 14 -  April 6 & 10, 2020

This field placement has come to an end!

Too bad that I had no chance to take pictures with my Professor and students. It was such a great experience working in school👍 I was able to help one student today just awhile ago with ‘splitting PNR’. She understood every steps and was able to finish her work (Great job!!😄)

Now I should be ready to move on to next level😁 I know the world is seriously ill as of moment but I shouldn’t let myself down. I’ll continue the journey of becoming a flight attendant, and prepare myself for an interview as well😉

Week 13 -  March 30 & April 3, 2020

Quarantine turns me into chef😂

I don’t know how long will this be, but I got myself together to overcome this phase with good foods! and good sleep! I was actually very hungry after sending emails to my students regarding logging in and accessing to Amadeus. Guiding them through online was a little harder than talking in face to face. Fortunately, they were able to understand what I explained. I really hope this COVID-19 ends soon!!🙏🏻

Week 11 -  March 16 & 20, 2020 (NO CLASS)

Seneca College shifted its classes into Online class as well as my classes too. So I had to email my Professor to find out what’s going to happen to my field placement. Thankfully, I will be continuing my TA work via online. There were good and bad when working in online. The good was I can wear comfy clothes for sure and a bit relaxed when sending emails to students. But the bad was I can’t go outside anymore except for my groceries. I use to go to park nearby and do some pull ups, honestly, this is only my past time but it’s gone now..

So I get to be a bit loose and sleeping at 6 or 7 o’clock in the morning! I was truly out of control. I have to get my daily routine back for sure.

Week 10 -  March 9 & 13, 2020

Oh my...

I couldn’t believe my eyes while reading that post. Today might be the last day seeing these students!😥 I never heard of COVID-19 and didn’t actually wanted to know to be honest. But this unknown disease affected our class which we have 4~5 weeks more!

Professor and I were worrying while students were happy😅 Thankfully this announcement came right after our last class time so no one was dancing.

Why is this happening now....this thought was jumping inside my head. I just recognized my students’ names with faces!! But I believe there’s always a way out. This will pass for sure.. please..

Week 8 -  February 24 & 28, 2020 (Reading Week - No Class)

Soooooooo WE ARE BACK from our short reading week...(wow I’m so happy😅) Fortunately, everyone looked refreshed and so do I 😚

The days were getting warmer and clearer! That was when I was going to Newnham Campus.

Since my Monday students were falling behind, this week everyone (both professor and students, and me of course🙋🏻‍♂️) was putting extra effort to catch up our class outline. Look at those eyes willing to learn✍🏻✍🏻

Week 7 -  February 17 & 21, 2020

My Monday class students are falling 1 week behind due to Holidays and Career Expo. So, Professor Rita is trying her best to catch up with her other classes. I walked around as much as I can to assist the students as well. This week, I had a chance to simulate professor’s lecture on screen! which was a fun experience😊

Reading week is coming in just few more days! Students were excited including myself😂😂😂

Week 6 -  February 10 & 14, 2020

Apparently, it’s Valentine’s Day!😱 Gosh I totally forgot it.. I was busy preparing myself for the upcoming interview with Emirates. So, my best buddy Duwon and I used one of the school facilities to take photos for our application. But I still have to revise my résumé.

I feel like I’m taking the same pictures every week so I brought different pictures for ‘week 6′ posting. It was freezing this morning though wasn’t a problem to report to work! #positivemindset

I bought chocolate on my way to work for my professor since it’s Valentine’s Day. I left it on top of her desk with a little note for surprise.

Class went well as usual but other than that, I was mega tired waiting for the shuttle bus. I have to wait for good 1 to 2 hours just to get on that bus.🚌 Well I have no choice but to wait because I’ve been riding uber to school almost every morning..🥺 I should get up right away just like what I did in the Air Force before.🤞

Week 5 -  February 3 & 7, 2020

I had 3 classes for school was conducting Career Expo (1000-1400) for the students on Feb. 3, Monday. So the Campus was busy on that day.

I got a chance to take a selfie with these 2 students whom I’ve helped them on their work. Hope they really figured it out😆

One of the skills that I learned from office works - Spinning tons of test results before distributing them 😂

Week 4 -  January 27 & 31, 2020

Since I come to this campus for 5 days in a row, grabbing milk and apples became my morning routine😅 Sometimes, Professor and I even forget to go on break when there’s more than 2 students need help. So I have to reduce drinking water to save time going to washroom and invest my time to these students. Some of them are still asking me on how to log in to the system🤦‍♂️ but I explained them from the very start with smile on😂

I’ve noticed a funny thing is that students who often don’t understand and asking same questions over and over again are usually busy with something else. So if I stand behind and watch them to disconnect their attention to the phone, they’ll focus on the lecture and they can actually do pretty well👍 From then on I am waling around the classroom all day long to let them study🔥

Week 3 -  January 20 & 24, 2020

It was not busier than I’ve expected. Probably I was aware of what’s gonna happen this week, so I guess I was prepared😊

3rd week of my TA. It went pretty quiet compared to last 2 weeks. I helped students who needed my assistance on Amadeus.

Still a very rewarding day!👍

Week 2 -  January 13 & 17, 2020

It’s the 2nd week and I was expecting more students to show up in our class😏 I guess I was right😂 It was fun to know them though I’m still figuring out their names....lol

Professor prepared a group lecture this week so everyone formed a group and began to discuss. It reminded me my 2nd semester. 😊 So I walked around and took this pictures and thought to myself that next week’s going to be a busier week because students will pay their Lab Fee. Let’s be prepared👍

Week 1 -  January 6 & 10, 2020

It was my first day as a TA in Ms. Rita’s class. I was a bit overwhelmed for the break was too long and I kind a forgot some of the features of Amadeus system.

But since it was everyone’s first day of Winter Semester, I had nothing to worry about, everything went smooth! I just had to let students to concentrate on Ms. Rita’s lecture. Which was pretty easy :D I even remember the vibe when I first stepped inside the classroom, gave me a big thrill to meet passionate students!

My schedule is basically 4 classes a day, on every Mondays and Fridays from 0800 til 1330. I should definitely review to answer back students!! lol
