♕ For the better part of the day, Haou had been hopping between his apartment, and castle in getting both places in order. He left the Castle to Guardian Baou, who had assured him time and time again it would remain strong. He’d hold the Duel Monster to that, and had gone back with Yubel to Domino City.
♕ He had been hoping to touch down in his arms and head to the safety of his apartment. But somehow, their course had veered off, and Yubel didn’t notice. Or perhaps he did and wanted to leave Haou there? Either way, the Duelists’ lips formed their natural line, and he went with it. His servant and friend then dropped Haou among a grassy area, and took off skyward. 'That child…I suppose I'll make due wherever this is..'
♕ Heading forward, the two-toned male glanced at the buildings and such around. They didn’t seem like Domino that was for sure. But, Haou wasn’t concerned. He needn’t be.
♕ Soon his feet brought his past a river, and watched the setting sun reflect off the glassy surface. He halted, and stood with his arms crossed, gazing, his golden eyes reflecting light and the dark coming almost blanketing his body.
♕ Standing completely still, the shining eyes soon locked on the small form of a boy, curled up, and sitting on the grassy slope, just below. He didn’t start toward him, nor did he call to the other. Haou was merely watching.
As Rei watched the view before him, he could feel himself getting rather drowsy. He rest his head on top of his knees, and lifted his hand infront of him. Rei clenched it a couple times, before his hand suddenly started flickering in and out, warping frantically, as though it was trying desperately to get out of this reality.
He watched his body do this for a few minutes, his eyes eventually glazing over, indicating that this wasn't anything surprising to the boy. After a while, he brought his hand back to normal, so he could push himself up from the ground. He wobbled a bit before balancing on his feet.
Rei adjusted his satchel and turned around, upon which he froze. On the hill above the riverside, stood a person. A person who gave Rei the chills. Maybe it was his inhuman eyes, maybe it was his general aura. Whatever it was, his presence unsettled Rei - had he been watching him the whole time? Then that would mean....
The child decided not to think about it and instead took a step towards the man, opening his mouth to speak.
"Excuse me.... but, who are you?"
