Upon viewing a certain Instagram Post involving a random floating sock, Marinette puts two and two together and gets four. She then resolves to go yell at Adrien as Ladybug for being careless with his identity.

One-shot within a series. (The other reveals are absolutely worth reading as well!!) Instagram fic. No one else is involved (well, I guess their kwamis), and this is shockingly not crack given the concept. The characterizations are amazing, especially with Marinette's crush being overpowered by her Ladybug sense of responsibility, and Adrien's need for love/validation contrasted with his Chat cheekiness.

I'm hesitant to call it a messaging fic because it's so much more than that, but there are entire chapters that are devoted to messaging exchanges (between Marinette and Chat, and Ladybug and Chat, and Marinette and Adrien) and they're amaaaazinggggg. (Seriously some made me laugh, some made me cry, they're all fantastic.)

(What if Adrien Didn’t see Ladybug leave his room?)

-Ladybug deciding not to get so caught up being in his room because she has been in it before. She realizes she forgot the card much earlier and quickly writes her name. She leaves it on his bed and leaves. Missing Adrien entirely.

-Adrien arrives in his room, still a bit bummed that his dad doesn’t love him. Goes to lay down on his bed to sulk, but he notices a gift on his bed.

-”Oh, A gift from Marinette. Aw she. signed it with hearts?”

-He opened the gift and noticed the beret. It was a nice beret. It matched his shirt, and it had a heart embroidered on it. How nice of her. But why would she get him a gift today.

-”A cool, a hat.” Plagg comments before going to his cheese stash.

-Adrien remembers today is his Fifth Names day (What ever THAT is) Marinette knew his fifth names day. Wow, she is  a really good friend. Wait… there were hearts on the signature, there was a heart embroidered on the hat. Could Marinette like him as more then a friend?

-Plagg notices Adrien deep in thought.
