They twist it like a game they play.

With every touch, they slowly tear,

Your dreams and trust vanish in air.

They break you down with cruel delight,

And leave you shattered in the night.

For love was never meant to stay—

Just a weapon they wield to slay.

Now all that's left are broken seams,

A soul that's lost within its dreams.

The lies they told were sweet, at first,

But left me drowning in the worst.

Its bitter truths began to unfold.

The promises they gave me burned,

Now all I feel is what I’ve learned:

That kindness is a fleeting dream,

And hope is just a hollow scheme.

The world is cruel, its heart is stone,

And I am left to face it alone.

They showed me light, then left me blind,

Now all that’s left is hate to find.

You start writing with perfect grammar, feeling like a literary genius… and by the middle, it’s more like ‘a toddler’s first draft.’

Sometimes I make my characters so unlikeable that I start judging them like, 'How did I even create you?' Then I remember... oh right, it's my brain doing the damage.

I speak of demons, deep inside,

When they ask, I cannot hide.

Their voices rise, their shadows creep,

Yet still, the world won't let me sleep.

I share my pain, my darkest fears,

Each word a wound, each thought that sears.

But when it’s out, it hits the wall,

A hollow echo, that's all.

They hear my voice, but not the cry,

The truth that lingers in my eyes.

I lay my soul bare, raw and frail,

Yet it feels like wind against a sail.

I tell them of the weight I carry,

Of nights too long and hearts too wary.

But all they see is what I say,

Not the storm that won’t fade away.

So I speak again, yet silence grows,

They don't see me, they never know.

And in this echo, I remain,

A voice that calls but feels in vain.

Biggest achievement as a writer? Writing something because I was bored, only to find out it inspired someone else to start writing. Turns out, boredom is a secret superpower!

Sometimes I come up with the perfect plot in my head, feel like a genius... then I sit down to write and it’s like my brain hit ‘delete.’ Why did I think I was brilliant again?

Being an author means carrying around your own emotional baggage… but at least I can dump it all on my characters and make them deal with it instead.

Unleashed beneath the silent sky.

And when the storm had had its say,

The world just stood and turned away.

"She's mad," they whispered, "out of place,"

For peace, she’d worn a shattered face.

But in that fire, she found her light,

The quiet rage that turned to fight.

For once, the anger held no shame,

It freed her soul, it gave her name.

Crazy, they say, for breaking free,

But in her heart, she’s finally free.
