I love this video so much it brings me so much joy every time it crosses my dash again

i have never seen an animal moving this silly
this is so fucking funny
i can’t stop thinking about this. this kind of shit is not like milsim plane nerds with their own super-expensive desktop cockpit recreations. that kind of hardware makes sense to exist.
this does not. they’re playing world of tanks which is like the “call of duty” of tank games (casual, players only slightly bad-smelling). it also doesn’t have support for tank peripherals. no game does. no trainers do afaik. which means that (assuming this isn’t just a video editing) all of that shit they are fucking with translates into mouse/keyboard inputs that the game understands. that’s weird/hard and perplexing, uh, and considering that “tank peripherals” aren’t a thing that exist i can only guess they built them theirselves
which is fucking hilarious because why are they so good. why does the fucking cannon breech have a little dry ice smoke effect when the breech opens like they just shot a shell. what. manual turret traverse crank?? did they build a fucking ready rack!! they’re even using the correct phraseology which means one of these mofos read a PDF file
great news everyone

They've already banned artists who drew art they didn't approve of.
that is one hell of a plot twist
"LOL," said the scorpion, "LMAO."
what the hell is going on
There was an utterly random person who accused me of reblogging things in a pattern indicating I was part of a group that secretly gathered to mock them. They asked why I was bullying them, which was done by reblogging specific posts that were secretly about them, in patterns and times designed to trigger them and mock them. For example, reblogging a certain piece of art and a certain queer positivity post in succession was a pattern, and if I thought I was fooling anybody, look how other people did it too (clearly their dash had a lot of mutuals who were online at the same time and reblogged the same thing.)
I had a similar conversation, and they pretty much instantly calmed down and explained that they sometimes had trouble distinguishing reality, and that perhaps I was participating in the pattern in all innocence. I attempted to handle this compassionately. I worried that I shouldn’t block them, because what if that harmed them?
This came back recently, and I searched for their name, and saw they were having some sort of outbreak, and doing this to other people as well. Some of the people they messaged had their own troubles with distinguishing reality, and being told quite firmly that they were a bully, part of a secret bullying ring, who gathered on tumblr to mock nudes - the evidence being the pattern of posts they’d reblogged; look who else reblogged this, they’re in the ring with you, aren’t they, you disgusting bully - was incredibly destabilising for them. This was so awful, and helped me understand how Beyond My Problem this person was.
I think I’m someone who tries to behave fairly sensibly and scrupulously, and with decent manners, online. Unfortunately, that often results in me feeling like I have to manage other people’s reactions for them. Like, if I was a better person, and hit every word perfectly, nobody would get mad at me. That’s certainly the impression the Internet likes to give - that if people get mad at someone, it’s because they were Wrong and Okay to Punish, so if you don’t want people mad at you, you just have to behave perfectly. Simple, right?
But interactions like the OP and the one I had recently really go to show that you can’t manage other people. There is no perfect behavior you could pull off that would have stopped this happening. They are just having a separate experience that’s nothing to do with you as a person. They are mad at you not because of you as a person, or anything you did, or even on purpose (they might be genuinely distressed by feeling this way.) sometimes people are just mad and you can’t fix it and it’s not about you.
Are they trying to be funny? Are they trying to set up some false accusation blackmail thing? Are they having trouble distinguishing reality? Did they mistake you for someone else? Is it a bot? Are they genuinely in need of help? Are they doing a bit to screencap you? Do they think that you deliberately reblog posts in significant targeted patterns?
None of them are within your gift to solve over internet messages. Sometimes people are just mad, and you happened to be there. Sometimes it’s just something that happens, like weather.
I’m sorry it happened, OP. You were really funny about it but it’s not pleasant.
It does give one hope.
I swear, it has to be wonderful to be one of those people who know their political opposition only tells lies! Just imagine it, no matter what someone says, no matter what someone presents, no matter the evidence?
It's all a lie!
You never have to change your views or second guess a single thing, because The Bad People only lie, and the fact that they lie proves that they're The Bad People!
And if they tell you that they're NOT The Bad People? Well, you know what kind of people would tell you a lie like that!
Interesting. Also, a few seconds Googling indicates @KirscheVerstahl has somewhere north of a thousand viewers on the regular.
Several thousands, from all her various platforms as she multistreams. Funny enough, this whole cancellation attempt vastly increased those numbers.
"How can you like these very toxic and horrible characters that have done despicable and unforgivable things?" oh it's quite simple actually, this is fiction and I think with my dick.
See the arousal is real, but the crimes are fictional. Hope this helps.
i never realized how much i hate modern art until i took a class in modern art
it’s so pretentious. like half of the pieces we’ve looked at have been purportedly commenting on elitism in art and income disparities when the piece itself sold for thousands of dollars to be put in a museum for rich people to look at. you’re supposed to look at barren canvases with vague splotches of color and meditate on the nature of life, navelgazing for an hour. bitch I can do that in my own home for free. most of the time the pieces themselves don’t require any skill, it’s just an asshole with some bright idea that ~~~no one has ever thought of before~~~ (which is bullshit, originality is a myth) and the gall to pretend that they’re saying something meaningful. A bunch of postmodernists specialize in literal plagiarism but with a different title. wow so edgy. really thought provoking. you sure are making a statement that’s relevant and people care about.
the most egregious example is this bullshit:
this is an overhead view of a plaza wherein some famous guy was commissioned to design a public art piece for. The brick and nonfunctional fountain was already there. The sculpture? a literal wall of iron bisecting the courtyard. this guy was paid over 100k to design this.
Now, this is located in a city, smack dab in the middle of a bunch of office buildings. Workers who had to spend 8 hours a day 5 days a week doing menial desk jobs had to look at this ugly piece of shit. You want to have a nice picnic during lunch break with your work buddies? tough shit. You get tilted arc instead fucko. You can’t see from one end of the courtyard to another because some dick thought rebar sheet metal was more important. It also impeded movement between the buildings so that you have to go around this fucking obstacle instead of just fucking walking from one side to the other.
So yeah, these workers got pissed, because you’re making an ugly place even uglier for obscene amounts of money without thinking about the ppl who actually have to look at it every day (who had no say in the design). There have been countless studies done on stress and related health problems in office workers and having to look at ugly as sin shit like this piece of work actually contributes to stress and decreases mental and physical health (as opposed to pretty scenery or plants etc).
When the designer was told what people thought of his masterpiece, he threw an absolute shitfit. “art doesn’t have to be pretty”, he said. “art isn’t for the public”.
while it is absolutely true that art doesn’t have to be aesthetically pleasing to be meaningful or relevant, putting this fucking monstrosity in a place where people are forced to look at it day in day out, in addition to the ugly buildings and streets and shit that comprises the rest of their lives is just kind of a dick move. Yes, people are painfully aware that life and art and all that shit isn’t always pretty. they’re the ones who have to live with that fact, not some pompous asshole who thinks he’s god’s gift to man because he put some metal wall in a plaza.
And yeah, not all art is for the public. Art can be self-expression or just for your own enjoyment. But if you are being commissioned by the state, paid hundereds of thousands of tax dollars to make a PUBLIC art piece, yeah, it’s for the public! saying that other people have no say in what that public art piece looks like, implying that if other people don’t like your art that they just Don’t Understand True Art TM, is this hugely egotistical self-masturbatory elitism that puts the artist above the working people (when like the whole point of art is supposed to be disrupting this kind of bullshit thinking).
But that’s not even the best part. This fucking douchebag, upon being told that people don’t want this metal wall in their courtyard and that they want him to move it, freaks the FUCK out about how he “designed it just for this space and taking it out of its context would destroy it”. Which like, yeah context is important when understanding the meaning of a piece. but literally the only meaning of this piece was “i got paid obscene amounts of money and im gonna use it to make the ugliest thing i can think of literally just because”. If you move it out of the context of the plaza it wouldn’t be impeding foot traffic or being an eyesore to the workers who are forced to spend their days there, which is destroying the purpose of the work. So in the end this guy opts to have the piece destroyed rather than moved because he can’t stand to have his ~~~high art~~~ removed from its PurposeTM which is to be unpleasant. i dont give a single goddamn fuck about ‘advancing sculpture’ or whatever the fuck, if it’s causing people stress on top of their already stressful lives just because you thought it would be great to create this atrocity in a place where no one can escape from, you’re not ‘advancing’ anything, you’re just being a dick.
So now the space has been converted to a rather plesant little oasis with plants and lots of benches.
anyways thats my dissertation on how much i hate contemporary art and find it to lack relevance or meaning to the people it supposedly represents or defends. it takes itself too seriously and imposes arbitrary and hypocritical statements on the nature of art at the expense of any real substance. in the world we live in, pretty things for the sake of being pretty, having stories that are entertaining and engaging and relatable, having fun and feeling good in a world that devalues those things, etc. are far more impactful and radical than anything sitting in a museum created by some millionaire who jacks off to their “fine art”. thanks for coming to my ted talk have a good night
Some douchebag artist: I’m going to make a statue that is as ugly and obtrusive as possible.
Literally everyone: Hey this thing is ugly and obtrusive.
douchebag artist:
Was this Anish Kapoor?
*checks notes*
Ah. It was not. Before his time.
Having a degree in the art field myself, I feel exactly the same. I remember one time we watched a video of an installation where a guy made 100 white cubes displayed in a white room, each one of them missing some permutation of sides. Then we were forced to read his artist statement. And let me just say it was the most pretentious bullshit I’ve ever seen bar none, which is really saying something. But if you somehow managed to boil the text down to plain English, it said something like, “The meaning of this art piece is that it is meaningless, because life itself is meaningless and I am a nihilist.”
Anyway getting an art degree will make you hate modern art more deeply and profoundly and articulately than you ever thought possible

My Sugar Free Gummy Bears experience
So if you’ve been on the internet for a while you’ve likely heard of about sugar free gummy bears and the horrors that they cause. I like many others, I read the reviews thinking how bad could it really be, I mean, they’re candy. All the reviews I read told stories of dramatic diarrhea, stomachs speaking to them in German, and important moments in life ending with them in a cold sweat while shitting away their evening. So having been born with a lack of self-preservation skills, and a curiosity that could kill the cat, I conducted a little experiment.
Now in the interest of full disclosure I have a few friends who are equally curious. However they were not as dumb as me to try eating sugar free gummies to see what happens. They were there keeping note of how many gummy bears I ate, documenting my experience, and my overall reaction - very scientific, I know. So I began eating the gummy bears around 8 PM that fateful day. In order to stay as true to the other stories as possible I passively ate the gummy bears while watching tv. Over the course of an hour apparently I ate around 90 of those hate beans, that is roughly equal to two standard sized bags. (17 pieces per serving 3ish servings per bag)
By the time everything started to hit me I realized the horrible mistake I had made. The stories never mentioned how many gummies people were eating to simply end up with diarrhea, and I just consumed a large amount of gummy bears, while still technically not being unreasonable. For me it started with bloating, and my stomach hurt, like it was a balloon about to pop. I was so bloated even my friends began to notice. I was swaying like a pregnant lady about to give birth to the anti-christ. I was starting to realize I would soon be changed forever. I tried to use the bathroom many times in the hopes that it would all start and I could just shit away this horrible experience. However my anti-christ baby was getting heavier and nothing was coming. After one failed trip to the bathroom I curled up in the fetal position begging for any relief I could get. I questioned every life choice that brought me to this point, and my friends were just as remorseful. It was at this point I started praying for the sweet relief of diarrhea.
Sadly, that relief never came. In all the stories I had ever read, I never heard of an experience like mine. I was ill prepared. Most people talk about sitting on the porcelain throne after snacking gone wrong and describe molten lava burning them from the inside out. I would have preferred that. I made a fundamental miscalculation about the human body. The digestive tract has two ends.
Instead of horrifying molten diarrhea, I got to vomit my soul out, and apparently my soul was made of tar. My body struggled to expel the evils within: it was like the worst combination of jello and rubber cement born in the fires of Mordor, and chilled in Satan’s refrigerator (and apparently Satan’s refrigerator was located in my throat). The horrifying substance plopped into toilet, judging me, barely digested. I was starting to wonder if I should call someone…a doctor? No. A priest? Maybe. I was already bidding farewell to any grandchildren I might have. As I was staring into the bowl I couldn’t help but feel a little like Linda Blair.
I was there for hours staring, praying to every god I knew, hoping one of them would cast out the demons within, but alas there was only one way to cleanse my soul. No matter how much I gave it wasn’t enough for the porcelain gods. My collar bones ached, my ribs hurt, and my pride had left the building. I don’t recall sleeping that night, I saw the sun rise for the first time in ages. I might have cried a little (and for those that know me I don’t cry for much). After hours of vomiting, the evil had left the building, leaving me scarred, tattered, and changed.
