The BIGGEST thing is that some of yous are a bunch of disrespectful bastards.
Yous go to the trailer and leave shitty comments. Yous post Laraās photograph on here and take the micky. Yous slag a movie that actual human beings have devoted their time and passion to, without having seen it. Yous act so entitled and ignorant, that itās actually embarrassing for me to see yous have such a lack of empathy and respect.
Itās such a fucking negative vibe on here, and yous all sit in this echo chamber with other online bullies slagging the wee kids in the movie, and yous still think youāre behaving correctly.
Correct your vibes while the rest of us enjoy this movie, donāt bother @ing me because (for the most part) yous are awful human beings
sweetie,
no
Lol can you no read or something, donāt @ me
i can read better than you and your take was so frigid that the thermometer said it was 0 Kelvin and iām so baffled by the sheer idiocy this post exudes that i couldnāt find a better response thanĀ ānoā because iām pretty sure thatās the only word youād understand
Did it aye

Naw troops if youāre gonna slag me in a screen shot at least have the balls to pipe up to my face. Yous canāt handle been called out on your disrespectful behaviour and it shows. Some of yous have gotten away wi being vile for too long and when I point out that youāre being unkind, yous freak out.
(And itās not all of yous, itās some of yous. Some of yous are grand, some of yous are not. Your behaviour is showing which one you are, and thatās on you.)
But no bother on the matter. Iāve seen some of yous bully the children in the movie, disrespect POC voices, and disrespect the effort put into the movie. I know what kind of person you are, and I donāt want to be associated with that vibe.
I think we need to respect eachothers. The existence of the movie will not erase the books. Nobody is ruining the story we grew up with. I was so disappointed too when the second trailer dropped and I vented in a post, but now I have hope for the movie again. New informations about the film surfaced and, despite the changes, if everything is done right (and directed right) I think it's gonna be a pretty enjoyable, if not awesome, movie.
It's OK to be disappointed, it's OK to feel sad about something you waited for so long that is not what you thought it would be, what is not OK is to bash the actors (especially the kids) because you think they were miscast. What is also not OK is to lash at people who have hope for this movie, trying to make them sad or angry.
OP, your original post could've been worded better, as I said, we need to respect eachothers, but I understand the frustration. All the hate the movie is receiving even tho it's not even out yet is really too much to handle sometimes. And I can't even imagine the pressure and stress the actors are going through seeing this type of response from people, especially the kids, who are going through some major mockery right now. I predict that the movie will still be hated by many, but it's also bound to bring new fans who are going to be interested in the books, so a bright side is still there, in my humble opinion.
If my tone in my original post was disrespectful, itās because it was meant to be (although I respect that you may have found it inappropriate). I donāt respect the attitude of a few people on here; itās disrespectful to those working on the movie. Itās downright bullying in quite a few cases, yet this place seems to be an echo chamber in which everyone eggs everyone else on, and no one seems to be pointing out this toxic energy.
But, like I said, Iām not interacting wi those people anymore, I donāt need those toxic vibes
Sorry to everyone that follows me but doesnāt give two shits about Artemis Fowl; someone needed to stand up to the bullies on this fucking website

How we gonna act like Ben is a bigger asshole than Devi when she was antisemitic towards him? Theyāre both equally big assholes.
Sorry not sorry but if youāre a whole grown-ass person and youāre whining that the Artemis Fowl movie isnāt exactly the same as the book, you need to get a grip. Itās a childrenās story, and itās been turned into a childrenās movie - if you donāt like the movie, thatās fine; it hasnāt been made for you, it has been made for children.
(And to that end, it looks pretty amazing)
In reality, no, Artemis Fowl as a franchise had been pretty much finished/dead when the last book was released. Especially on forum and other media sites. Since Colfer concluded no further works for Artemis Fowl from him (excluding the spin off series). Those who stuck around with the series since then have the right to hold out for a proper movie since they were the ones supporting the brand/franchise since the start of the series.
Disney also makes Marvel movies, which do hold some forms of violence, like the Fowl series. That young children adore, without a doubt more than Artemis Fowl. So there shouldnāt have been such drastic changes. Especially with the minor themes and factors that we are upset about. The themes that it originally had were positive reinforcements for the children who were reading the series to be introduced to women fighting against an all male dominate workplace and its diverse characters who have been changed into nagative attributes.
As a person who has been on this site for years and has made many mutuals with those in the Fowldom, I for one can say we ādo have a gripā. We just have valid reasons on why we donāt agree with it, as a majority. Itās not whining - itās stating blatant facts. š
Plus, there are some seriously racist casting choices...
Get telt hun, my girl Lara is a child and sheāll do wonderfully, Mr Anozie is a grown black man and knows his own mind
I have no doubt Lara will do well, and I hope she gets cast in some much better projects in her future, but that doesn't change the fact that casting her is whitewashing and aging down the character she's playing.
I don't know much about Anozie, but I'm sure he'll do some good acting as well and that he did make the choice to participate in this project for himself. But, that does not change the fat that they're casting one of their only black actors in the role of the hereditary servant.
That's not even going into the racist undertones in Foaly's casting or the disingenuous feel this movie's "feminism" has.
You're allowed to be excited for and/or legitimately enjoy this movie, but you personally enjoying it or being proud of the actors in it doesn't change the fact that Disney does and always has had some questionable casting choices.
Aye jog on mate Mr Anozie doesnāt need you to think for him, Iām sure he can decide if something shitey is happening (and clearly he doesnāt feel that way), cheerio š
Honestly, I couldn't care less what the man thinks about the rolls he's cast in, but you have fun being offended for him. Have a nice finals week dear.
Yous like speaking on behalf of black men so much š¤”

Devi and Ben: *exchange witty banter*
Ben: š„°š„°š„°
I gotta say my actual favorite Devi x Ben moment was really small andĀ insignificant, but I havenāt seen people talk about it yet, so here it goes.
When in 1x10 Ben broughtĀ Fabiola andĀ Eleanor to convince Devi to go spread her dadās ashes with her mom, he was the one who kept them on track with an actual task, when Devi managed to distract them. I mean even Fabiola at first said that Devi is deflecting, but then just got swept into itĀ nonetheless.
So I absolutely love that Ben was the only one who saw right through Deviās bs and knew exactly what she was doing and Iād even say knew sheād try to do it, thatās why he stayed in the room, weirdly hovering there, while the girls were talking.
And just look at Deviās face here, sheās straight up ready to murder him for ruining her plan and making her face things. But if itās not your partners job to do such things I donāt know whose.
