The Monster at the End of this Book, 1971 Written by Jon Stone Illustrated by Michael Smollin
My favorite growing up.
Omg. I loved this so much that the only thing I loved more was dramatically reading it to my little sister.
I read this aloud to my college freshmen in the Inquiry into Monsters class I taught a couple of years ago, and you have never in your life seen such a rapt group of adolescents.
My in-laws have this book and the kid likes to read it when we go to visit. My wife and I were just talking about it maybe 2 hours ago.
I loved this book as a kid and Oliver loves it as well. He reads it to me
He ran into the store, insisted on putting on the mask & light saber then started swinging.
Srsly, fuck renovations. We pulled all floors up and cabinets out. The fucker who sold us the house said cabinets were new. NOPE! That con man put new wood ON TOP of some cabinets from like the 60's. I hope he chokes on his dinner
2 weeks in. 2nd fire Yeah, we left Brooklyn. After 17 years of calling it home, I'm beyond sad we had to go. But something happens when you have an energetic 2 1/2 year old who loves being outside, you give up things you want for them. So we bought a house in NJ and I'm slowly phasing myself out of working. Come May I'll be a full time stay at home mom. Oh, and then come September we'll have another little boy around here.

3 days in to our vacation & Oliver is having the time of his life. Seeing him enjoy this place as much as I did growing up makes me so happy.
