My mum was watching a baking show where a 20 year old Muslim woman was a contestant. They had to make an alcoholic dessert. She nailed it despite not being able to taste it. When she mentioned that she couldnt (not as a complaint or excuse) everyone gawked at her and someone said “how old are you???”. Like, really?

JUSTICE FOR CASEY GOODSON

On December 4th, 2020, Casey Christian Goodson Jr. (23 years old) was shot three times in the back and murdered by a Sheriff’s Deputy as he was entering his home in Columbus, Ohio. Goodson’s family stated that he was returning home from a dentist appointment, holding a Subway sandwich, his face mask, and his keys, when he was shot.

Two days later, the Columbus Police Department made a statement alleging that James Meade, the deputy responsible for Goodson’s death, saw a man believed to be Goodson with a gun while driving. Meade then approached Goodson after he exited his car and walked home, where he was shot.

Hours after the shooting, the US Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, Peter Tobin, confirmed that Goodson was not the fugitive they were searching for. However, Tobin also added that he believed that the shooting was justified, claiming that Goodson was shot after he refused to drop his “weapon.”

Yet another Black man murdered by the police.

DEMAND JUSTICE.

A friend of mine and her child are staying at an Airbnb due to covid. She is attempting to reunite with her husband who lives outside of the country, and is having difficulties because of travel limitations. She works in a hands-on field that has been severely impacted by the pandemic and has limited access to income.

Help her continue to stay at their airbnb and comfortably access daily amenities until she is able to make the trip out of the country.

Anything you give is going directly to her child and their housing. They live in a state with freezing winters and neither her or her child will be able to survive homelessness.

Both my friend and her child are disabled, black, and native, and they only have a little over a week to go. we've only raised $90 so far.

They are escaping an abusive environment, they are able to secure safe, permanent residence in another country with their partner who lives there.

In order to make that final leap, they need to stay one more month in the Airbnb. She has everything she needs, she just has to wait another month for the process to finish. And if they dont it will be catastrophic. They are so close.

we need more donations urgently to ensure their safety and housing. hopefully this is a one time instance. they need to make the rent so that they can ensure their safety permanently in the future. please keep donating and sharing.
