The darkest minds headcanons I thought of at precisely 1:39 am
-Ruby has a thing for mugs. At haven she has a cupboard absolutely full to the brim of them and everytime Liam or one of the kids goes to open it, its like a fucking game of jenga trying to keep them all balanced so they dont fall out
-Chubs and Vida practice the fine art of scrabble every Wednesday night. Chubs is the only one that plays properly though because Vida makes words up on the spot and tries to convince Chubs that they're real. So now, as they play he sits with a dictionary on his lap for when he needs to prove her wrong. She'll put down a letter and all you hear is the furious flicking of pages from across the table.
-Nico destroys everyone at mario kart and he does it with a completely straight face. Not once has Liam ever beat him but he still hasn't given up. Sometimes they even get small crowds of kids observing as Liam gets his ass handed to him every damn time. But of course to preserve his dignity he tells everyone he lets nico win out of the kindness of his heart.
-Roman takes incredibly hot showers. So whenever Zu or Priya go to use the shower after him they have to turn the dial allll the way down otherwise they get absolutely scorched. But sometimes, really early in the morning Zu decides to wash her hair but because her mind is still foggy from sleep she'll forget roman was the last to use the shower. So instead of a nice, refreshing morning shower, the firey pits of hell rain down upon her.
-After all the kids move out Cate adopts a small tabby cat to keep her company. However Vida is allergic to both dogs and cats so whenever she goes to visit she returns home sneezing with puffy eyes. And then she has to immediately throw her clothes from the day into the wash because cat hair gets everywhere and WILL spread around her home if she doesn't put her hoodie in the washing machine the second she steps into the door.
-Zu wanted to give meditation a try because lets be honest she needs to destress. She asks Roman and Priya to try it out with her because she feels weird doing it alone but turns out that was a massive mistake. Roman thinks it'll be a good idea to play relaxing music but Zu and Priya, for whatever reason, start pissing themselves with laughter the moment it starts. So romans sitting there actually trying to meditate whilst trying his best to ignore the dying sounds of his girlfriend and best friend behind him.
-Liam likes to mess with Chubs by misplacing his things but it'll be really small, almost unnoticeable stuff at first. Like initially it'll just be plasters from his med kit, then it'll be his sewing tools and eventually get to the point where chubs is asking Liam what the fuck happened to his left shoe and why his tie is in the fridge goddammit
