Dark Link slowly wanders inside the village as the sun sets. Was this really where his lighter self grew up? The child cautiously steps around, wondering if anyone was still awake..
Mido had still been finishing up the last of chores, putting grass clippings into a small pile at the back of his house. He paused, thinking he heard footsteps down the way. He shouldn’t be. Most of the Kokiri went to bed when the sun set, or at least were inside of their homes. He turned around and in the dark merely saw a familiar looking silhouette.
"Hey!" he shouted, more of a bark really, hoping to startle. That wasn’t one of his Kokiri. It looked too.. unfamiliar with its steps.
Despite his last words, Dark perked his ears in interest. “Kids?” His head tilts to the side. “Can I meet some of them? Th-then I’ll leave the forest, I promise!” He didn’t want to further upset the stranger, but he did want to meet some of the other. Honestly.. he wouldn’t mind having a friend or two.. and he never really got to see others his age. Or, at least, those who appeared his age.
If possible, Mido almost looked angrier. He was so protective of his Kokiri. “If.. If they’d want to meet you,” he muttered bitterly. He didn’t even trust that this one would leave. What reason did he have to trust a stranger?
His eyes light up with excitement. "Really?! Thank you!" However, he took that as his go ahead to explore freely. Dashing off, he looks for someone else to talk to like any normal cheerful child, forgetting about the fact he might accidentally scare them off due to being, well, dark.
