Maybe I should ask father if we can go to the capital… I want to see their library.
You’re always welcome at Storm’s End, Lord Tyr. Our library isn’t as big as those in the capital, but we have many books here that most haven’t seen.

Maybe I should ask father if we can go to the capital… I want to see their library.
You’re always welcome at Storm’s End, Lord Tyr. Our library isn’t as big as those in the capital, but we have many books here that most haven’t seen.

“Ten gold dragons it is then.” She smirked, turning to walk towards the stables. “Are you coming, Lord Orys?”
Orys was already following along behind her, a good foot taller than her as they trudged toward the stables. “Indeed. If you could keep up, your Grace, that’d be wonderful...”
astarkrose:
“Oh, I certainly don’t intend to ride off! But won’t the horses get frightened? What if it rains?”
“Then you hold on. And if it rains, you get wet. You must be able to deal with enough rain in the North, Lady Stark.”
lordwillstark:
“And I in the North. It gets too warm in the capital.” both literally and figuratively. While the young Stark had an affinity for politics, it was tiring to have intrigue going on around you all day, every day. In the North he had one role; helping his brother.
“I’ve fallen off a few horse backs before. I’m not a complete beginner, even if that’s the signal I’m sending. Bring it on, Stormland Steeds. ”
“Not rainy enough either. I dread the day I’ve got to spend my whole life there, if it ever comes.” Orys Baratheon had been the first Hand, and his namesake didn’t doubt he’d reach that goal one day. “Good. I’ll see you fall off a few more before your visit here is out, Will.” Orys just hoped that he didn’t himself. That was a risk he was not wanting to take. There was only so many joint bleeds he could have before it got too much.
rhaenystheadventurer:
“Are you like your father in all aspects? I suppose you’re right. I’ll buy a handkerchief then, for you to wipe your tears when you lose.”
“No. I’m nowhere near as good at hunting as he is.” Orys smirked a little at that. “And I’m quite good on that front. Perhaps you can keep your handkerchief to dry your own tears with.”
rhaenystheadventurer:
“I don’t recall Lord Baratheon being known for his skills in riding. Perhaps we should increase the wager to ten gold dragons. I could use a new cloak.”
“A man can’t hunt well if he’s not a formidable rider. And perhaps we should, though I do not doubt you could have a new cloak at any opportunity you wanted, your Highness.”
“Neither am I. Don’t you ever miss it?” He questioned, perhaps looking just a tad too hopeful in his gaze. “Right. Let’s enjoy the day.” His gaze went down at the ground for a second. “I can handle some fight. I’m friends with you, aren’t I?”
“I miss the people, I miss exploring...but beyond that? Not really. I belong in the Stormlands. I miss the weather when I’m away.” And the clifftops, and the castle, and the sea....Orys could go on and on. He was the young storm lord, through and through.
“And hopefully. If not, at least hopefully you can mount a horse after being thrown off.”
“I love riding, though I’ve never ridden across cliffs before. Is it safe?”
“As long as you don’t intend to ride off the top of them, my lady, it normally works out to be safe, yes.”
targaryenprincess:
youngstormlord:
“But the cliffs are a whole different thing, Lord Orys. And I can’t just count on the nice weather. I’m afraid I’ll have to turn you down now, but I remain open to other horseriding propositions of yours in the future.”
“The cliffs are only a danger if you intend to ride off of them, princess. But fair enough....I’m sure one day, we’ll ride together.”
“I look forward to that day, your highness.”
“But what if we get hurt? Will that still be fun?”
“The chances of getting hurt on a ride are awfully slim, your Highness. But I’ll be here. And you know, we’ll have a few men with us as per usual.”
“You can’t fault me for keeping proper etiquette. It’s not like we see each other as often as we did once, Orys.” The Stark boy let a small smile play on his lips. “I’m unfamiliar with the horses of the Stormlands, but I’ll trust your words. It will be good to spend some time with you once more.”
“That’s because I’m not in King’s Landing anymore, thank the gods.” Orys returned the smile, shaking his head fondly. “But even that makes no difference. We’re still friends. Now, come on. I’ll put you on Myranda’s mare. She’s got some fight, but she’s not too wild.”
“While I’ve gotten better at riding and dealing with horses in general, I’m not sure I’d do well with the horses of the Stormlands. I’m afraid I must disappoint you Lord Orys.”
“How many times do I have to tell you, it’s just Orys. To you at least, Will.” The taller boy shook his head, rolling his eyes a little. “And what do you mean, the horses of the Stormlands? They’re a little flightier, yes....but nothing compared to your Northern ones.”
rhaenystheadventurer:
“I’ll take that bet, though I doubt you’ll ever beat me. I am my mothers daughter, you know.”
“And I’m my father’s son. So we’ll see.”
“Can you promise it won’t be dangerous?”
“I mean, I can’t promise anything, your Highness. But danger is what makes it all the more fun.”

“Fancy a race?”
‘----I’d wager five gold dragons that I’d win, your Highness.’
“A beautiful day out, isn’t it? I quite fancy going for a ride across the cliffs. You’re welcome to join me.”
