Your muse finds my muse locked away in an abandoned building, bruised and shocked. Send “Who did this to you?” to help my muse.
or send “Serves you right” to provoke them.
Send 💔 to make my muse more evil. Send ❤️ to do the opposite.

“What happened to you?” Chara had been watching the kid. One day, he was like any other. The next and for weeks after… he was more… mature. More motivated. More… passionate. It intrigued them, to say the least.
“You’re acting like you don’t belong here.”
That was to say, Chara wasn’t even in his class. But they related. Somewhat. This kid… he reminded them of Frisk.
“…”
Perhaps…
“I often feel the same. Can we be friends?”
“What…” Satoru turned his attention to whoever had spoken, frowning when he realized he didn’t know them. He was pretty sure he had seen them around school before, but they weren’t in his class and he couldn’t recall ever talking to them before.
“Where else would I belong…?”
They were right, but there was no way they knew he came from he future, right? Satoru cocked his head to the side. He wasn’t sure what this kid was talking about, but he supposed being friends with them wouldn’t hurt.
“…Sure.” He put on a smile, holding a hand out for the other to shake. “I’m Satoru Fujinuma, it’s nice to meet you.”
“...” Just asking.. to be his friend.. worked? That had never happened before. So Chara looked at him. Eyes lingering, almost ignoring the hand until they moved to grasp it at the last second. “Chara Dreemurr.” They said after a moment, the shock dissipating from their features.
“I take notice of everybody around here. It’s the only way you can avoid them.” With a tilt of their head, they smiled letting go of his hand. “You were normal. But then you stood out from the crowd one day. There aren’t many people who confront girls that are being abused and attempt to help them, Saturo. Not even the teachers care...
You seem more mature than before. More passionate about your goals. ..More considerate of others and their feelings. From what I know.. when people do that, it’s because something bad happened in their own lives.” A pause. “So- ...are you okay, Saturo?”

Failed them?
Chara was still getting used to it. The feeling. They were disorientated. They should have probably ran for the hills. But no. Death.. Death was new. Death had ripped them away from everything they cared about, made them see the light of the true situation. No one cared. In the end, they left you alone. Abandoned. Like a worthless pile of garbage.
Fix his mistake?
Ha!
Chin up. Chara’s arms swung loosely to their sides. Ready. They knew how to dodge. And with this extra surge of power running through them, Death didn’t have a chance.
They wouldn’t let him get so close again.
As soon as they saw him materialize by their side, they did the same, appearing just a few metres away again. On the table, in fact. The same that had once held and supported them. They took a moment to balance themselves, the grin swaying just a tiny bit. They gazed down on the creature that had almost ended them, and allowed a laugh to escape them. Aw, how the tables have turned.
“Oh…” Taunting. Mocking. Childlike. “You wanna dance?~” How… interesting. Chara blamed Death, yes. But not as much as Life. Which caused them to take a step back and observe the reaper before them. Really look at him. A monster there to end the existence of an innocent. A child. A faithful child.
“I was a fool…” They whispered. The grin never wavering. “I… I gave my life to the Gods. My existence… And this is how I was repaid…?”
“..Disgusting.” Holding up their hand towards him, they shook their head. “This power… oh wow! It’s just so exhilarating! I should thank you!”
“But I want to know. Why, oh, why did they create you, Death?”
[ @ohlazybones ]
Hollowed Eyes stared to the Chaotic form that was born before him. The child was out of his grasp once more having moved in an unhuman like manner. No, it was his first reaping. To have failed it, to fail his purpose so soon. No, dread couldn’t hold onto him at the moment. It was a distraction. He refused to Hesitate as Death swung the scythe over and down behind his billowing robe. “let’s call this one the tango with Death.” he chuckled out a low his. The child loved to talk. This was his chance. Scraping the scythe he had settled behind him her swung it upward hoping he could use the advantage of the child talking to take them out. With enough force the Table didn’t stand a chance. However there still wasn’t a child reaped. “humans are corrupted and mad with the power of life. Death is to reset the order.” he glared looking around for the Corrupt Child. “death is to keep peace, to keep morality.
That was... very fast. Too fast for comfort. Chara pushed themselves back, disappearing again and reappearing a little way off, eyes automatically falling to the broken table. Oops. That was those memories gone.
Before Death could see, they moved into and through the doorway, hidden. And then they laughed. Laughed so hard that they felt tears sting their eyes. It echoed around him, as though the child was everywhere and no where all at once.
“Is that what they told you? If they truly believed that, then why was their first victim a child that gave them nothing but love?”
Their words were the complete opposite to the laugh; they were spiteful, harsh, almost.. vengeful. Yet still held a childlike innocence to them. They didn’t fully understand. Not yet. The betrayal they felt coursing through their veins was too raw for that. All they knew - was that they hated them. They hated them, they hated them, they hated them!
And Death..? Just a puppet of theirs. A puppet! Just like they had been!
He was similar to the rest. His aim had been to get Frisk’s soul and erase the world. His outlook was similar to their own, however, there was a big difference. The same difference that had differentiated themselves from the others as well. He had set out to achieve the goal. That had been his purpose, or - at the very least - a consequence of his own control.
Them? They had been somewhat controlled until they gained enough LV to take over. They had always been reluctant to admit that, considering the nature of their doubles. But of course, with this one, it had only caused him to be suspicious. It was hardly surprising. They would have been too.
So when he questioned them about it, they simply gave a small nod, and a smile. “We’re remarkably similar, Chara. The only difference consists of our circumstances and the way we came to our goals…” They trailed off, before they sighed, turning in their spot and kicking the ground with the heal of their foot. It was the first action that hadn’t carefully considered.
“There’s really no use in hiding it.” They stated, turning back to him. “In your timeline, it’s just you and Frisk. In mine, there’s another. Someone who controls Frisk during the pacifist route and myself during the genocide. It is.. rather complicated, and quite difficult to understand if you’re not involved.”
* Chara let out a small grumble of annoyance as he listened to the other, though he didn’t fail to notice the action the other made… one of hesitation and… regret? Was he reading that right? He was bad at reading people.
At the talk of there being yet another party involved in this whole affair, Chara brought his hands to his face, rubbing his eyes wearily before shading his head. He’d had just about enough of all this circular discussion and hinting, and when he pulled his hands away, it was likely clearly to the other that he was done.
「💔」”Okay, look,” the demon child said in a tone that was far less formal than the one he’d used before. “I think we’re done with all this posturing and the eviller-than-thou garbage; I don’t think either of us have anything to prove anymore, so why don’t we both cut the crap so we can have a semi-normal conversation?”
There. That should make things easier. Maybe.
A small huff escaped Chara’s lips as he regained his composure, bringing his attention back to the conversation at hand.
“So in your timeline, there’s someone else calling the shots?” The child frowned at that, the notion of someone else controlling him not sitting well with him at all. “Do you know who?”
That frustration. Chara had to hide a smile. Because while they understood exactly where he was coming from, it still didn’t make him any less interesting to them. At that point, Chara had already partially dropped the act, so it wasn’t so hard to simply relax in their place and answer his question.
“I call them The Player. I narrate to them. In your timeline, it seems as though most of Frisk’s attributes are consistent with theirs. They’re the one reloading, resetting. It was their determination that motivated me and it was their soul that I obtained at the end. Frisk played a much smaller role in my timeline. In fact, I was the one who ensured that they stayed protected in the genocide route.”
Confirmation at it’s finest. The other Chara was indeed putting up a charade for them. Curious - seeing how they were more or less the same person. Chara visibly paid no mind to it, observing the other as they continued, only to falter slightly at the question about their circumstances. That was something that they would keep to themselves, at least, until they have confirmed that it is okay to share.
“In my experience, our goals seem to differ too. Are you talking about retaining Frisk’s soul? ..That’s what the other Chara’s goal was. –..Regardless, congratulations, I suppose.“ A hesitation. “I would prefer to keep my circumstances to myself for now. I‘m sure you understand.“
* Chara narrowed his eyes at the other’s guess, and he shifted as he watched them. What did they mean by “differing goals”? Just how different was this one compared to everyone else?
「💔」”Well… I suppose I can’t hide anything from you, can I? But yes, I’ve retained their SOUL… and from the way you speak, that outcome is not one we share.”
Chara crossed his arms, then, the closed body language betraying his suspicions. “Certainly, I understand your desire for privacy… but you’ll have to understand that I’m more than a little suspicious of you. Alternate circumstances, differing goals… you’re not at all like the others I’ve met.”
He paused, then, as he looked straight at his twin. “Just how different are you?”
He was similar to the rest. His aim had been to get Frisk’s soul and erase the world. His outlook was similar to their own, however, there was a big difference. The same difference that had differentiated themselves from the others as well. He had set out to achieve the goal. “I’m the freak? Mighty meaningful, coming from you of all people. The fuck you want?”

He knew he couldn’t keep this up forever. He gripped the scarf tightly, putting it in his jacket pockets before Chara came back. Smirking at them.
“Lets get right to the point.”
The battle began. He skipped the stupid monlouge, and hit them instead with the large complex attack of bones, blasters, and other shit.
“I always wondered why people never use their strongest attack first.”
They didn’t speak. They very rarely did. Dodging the attacks, they only gained a few hits. They’d get far this time, they knew. But it was always the last part. The very last part that they failed on. They could never keep up with the blasters turning in the circle.
Hopefully, they’d get at least to that point this time. After it switched to their turn, they turned the knife around in their hands. There was no use in wasting their energy. Dashing forward, they swung the knife, but not as hard as they would. They knew Sans would dodge...
They regained distance after, recalling the second attack. Easy enough. The simplicity of it almost brought a smile to their lips. They... almost wanted a challenge.

“?!” Chara let out a small sound of surprise, eyes widening as they quickly grabbed ahold onto Frisk. “F-Frisk?! What are you doing?”
ask-the-underground-humans:
Frisk nodded and looked away, their hands getting ready to push away from the wall. “Can I have my knife back… Please?” They whimper, usually they wouldn’t be scared but it’s Chara and they’re not as predictable as everyone else it.
It seemed as though they were very talented in being scary and shutting people up. A small empowered feeling overcame Chara as they noted Frisk’s reactions, they eyes quickly falling and lingering on the knife.
“Well, Frisk... Why would I do that... When we could have so much fun!”
They grinned, and peered up towards Frisk. They were just messing around at this point. But all of their signals came off as legit. It was really hard to tell if there was a chance they could be bluffing.
